June has a slim build, brown hair and hazel eyes. She is quieter and outwardly more serious than her counterpart, the truth is she is just guarded. She wears the look of someone who is constantly on the run. She is twitchy and always watching her back.

Biography

June is native to tattooine, her parents were honest and hard working moisture farmers. Hit hard by drought, her father had no choice but to approach Jabon the Hutt, a particularly nasty Hutt with a reputation for being less than fair. When her parents were attacked and killed by Tusken Raiders, she inherited their debt. She was captured by a bounty hunter in Jabon's employ and taken to the Hutt's palace where she was kept a slave in lieu of payment.

A series of failed escape attempts and various other misdemeanors prompted the Hutt to rid himself of the troublesome slave and she was traded to a local toydarian named Bulshk for a speeder. The toydarian was as wicked and cruel a master as her former master, however he was sloppy and did not have the security systems protecting his property as Jabon did.

After all the practice she had already had, escaping the Toydarian was easy in comparison. Fortunately she knew of a ship that she could steal in order to get off world, a freighter that her Toydarian master had recently acquired, appropriately named Slave's Hope. She used deceit to fool the guards at the space port into believing that she was there on authority from her master.

She took off leaving Tattooine behind her and did not look back. The Toydarian isn't likely to have put a bounty on her head, but she doesn't leave anything to chance.

Education

June grew up on a moisture farm on Tattooine. Unfortunately that meant she received little in the way of an education, however one skill she did learn that would serve her well in future is piloting. She is a skilled space pilot and has a natural affinity for land craft. She is also good with her hands, although she received no recognized form of tutelage in any craft or mechanics, she is nimble fingered and quick to learn.

The school of hard knocks has been her greatest education. Life as a slave taught her the greatest lesson of all, how to survive.

Career

As a slave in Jabon's Palace, June was used for little more than entertainment. Hutt's are infamous for keeping attractive female slaves and she has no doubt that had she not caused so much trouble for her former master, she would have been subjected to sexual abuse and torment. As it was, she was made to dance, serve drinks and welcome guests... lucky for her then that the type of people Jabon usually invited to his palace were the type of people she could learn a thing or two from.

By the time June was sold to Bulshk she had become a master of deceit and guile, she had also learned a little bit about other races and the criminal underworld. Once in the service of the Toydarian, it was just a matter of putting those skills to a practical use. He soon put her to use in areas which utilised her particular skill set and at the same time gave her more freedom than the average slave. June had formulated a plan, now the escape attempts had stopped. After all, even if she got away which she knew now she could; where would she go? She needed to bide her time and when the opportunity presented itself she put her swiftly executed her plan with flawless precision.

Bulshk acquired a VV 560 light freighter named Slave's Hope, the ship was not brand new but had not long been out of the shipyard before its original owner handed it over to the Toydarian.

June wasted no time in seizing the opportunity. Bulshk dealt with his customers personally, but the paperwork and red tape bored him so left June to deal with that sort of thing. He provided her with all the tools she needed to make the ship legally his and fit for his purposes, this included a new designation and registration Mark. June kept the name of the ship but made no mention of this to the Toydarian, she re-registered the ship but put it in her own name.

later that night as Bulshk slept, June headed out to the docking area near the Toydarian's home. There were two guards at the bottom of the loading ramp, she had expected this and had planned around it. The guards were used to seeing her coming to and from the ship during the course of the day... June rubbed some lightly salted water in her eyes and disheveled her hair a bit before she headed off to the ship, this made her look sleepy eyed, tired and cranky. As she approached the guards at the loading ramp she muttered "Bastasi Bishwag!" This promoted a chuckle from the two guards as she moved casually past them and into the ship.

June headed straight to the cockpit and closed the loading ramp from there. She observed the two guards running around to the front of the ship, desperately trying to get a view of the inside to see what was going on just as the engines roared to life. There was nothing they could do but watch as the ship took off and soared away into the night sky.

June flew solo across the galaxy for a time, hopping from one system to the next and never staying on one planet for too long. She made the best use of the ship that she could to earn some credits, which was just barely enough to keep the ship running. As good a pilot as she was, she was no navigator or engineer and it was only a matter of time before she ran into trouble and would have to fly the ship as well as fire its guns... there was only so much she could do on her own. She needed a crew, not just any crew though, she needed people she could trust and she would search the galaxy until she found people she felt confident with even if it meant returning to Tattooine.

Associates

It was on Tattooine where she found her first crew mate, a Jawa by the name of Isis. The Jawa stands a little taller than most and he prefers to build and repair than disassemble. He had fallen out of favour with the Jawa chieftain after an argument over his personal astromech droid being sold without his consent. Isis was able to recover the droid but as a consequence, he was exiled from the clan and found June in a cantina.

June spotted the Jawa asking around for a ship, offering his services to anyone who would take him. She was surprised by this, it is unusual for a Jawa to be in that kind of situation. As part of their agreement Isis asked for very little other than enough cubits to get by and a place on her ship. In addition to pledging his services which included the use of his astromech droid, he also told June how they could acquire a medical droid. She knew very little about the Jawa other than being a Jawa he couldn't be trusted, but there was something very different about this one. June has an eye for opportunity and a mechanic, a astro droid and a med droid all in the same package was an opportunity she could not afford to pass up.

The Slave's Hope now had a crew, yet it was no where near it's full capacity as the droids didn't take up living quarters and thus June could afford to bring in an extra body or two if the opportunity presented itself, although she was in no hurry to find anyone now.

It was during a routine stop on Nar Shadaa where the Slave's Hope would pick up it's newest crew member, a Zeltron female called Dani Nova (Blue). Although the two are seemingly very different, it didn't take them long to find out that they shared many qualities. Blue wanted to travel the galaxy and June gave her that chance and although Blue now operates as co-pilot, CFO, as well as other roles; the one thing that June really needed was a friend.

Current Activities

June and her crew now travel that galaxy and taken on any work they find as long as it is legal(ish) and pays well.. although she is happy to just fly the ship and leave the business decisions to her CFO and co-pilot, they have argued over the refusal of certain jobs and the location of others. Even more so now that Dani has bought her night club on Alderaan and the team have a base, somewhere to call home. June still prefers being out on the fringes of space and continues to pilot the ship carrying supplies to and from the club for Dani and well as taking on other small jobs she finds along the way.

Noteworthy jobs include:

  • A survey mission for Bargos The Hutt who paid them to visit his newly acquired mining facility and report back on it's current profitability. The mission went awry when June and her crew learned that the mining facility had been taken over by the facilities droids that were in dire need of a memory wipe. June and her crew saved the mining facility and despite returning with bad news, were still able to make a god profit... even though the Hutt himself was not aware of it.
  • A transport mission for a Jedi Knight named Jiadzia. The Jedi Knight, who had not long since passed her trials was on an errand for her master. She went in search of some lost scientists; the Jedi thought that in doing this they would regain some faith with Republic. As it turned out the scientists had been driven mad by an ancient Sith ghost in a temple on a long forgotten planet.
  • A rescue mission to find and rescue the Jedi Knights mother who had been taken prisoner by the Sith and forced to work for them, experimenting on human subjects transforming them into rakghouls. Not only was the Jedi's mother saved but they were able to free several other survivors and fought and killed a Leviathan, an ancient and terrible beast that feeds upon the life energy of force users.

Personality

Years of life as a slave have made June guarded and even bitter, she doesn't stay in any one place long enough to put down roots or make friends, save for the one person who left her little choice. She isn't particularly charming nor is she diplomatic, however she excels at being very sneaky and manipulative. She is quick to adapt and react to changing circumstances, she would describe her self as having more street smarts than books smarts and in her line of work, that is exactly the kind of smart you need to be!

Combat Style

June prefers to think her way out of most situations. Where ever possible stealth and guile are preferable to fighting, however she accepts that there are times when there is no other alternative but to fight your way out of trouble. For this reason she always carries a Hold Out blaster pistol with her.

Social Style

Jerek Tel

June comes across as being very aloof and this is not without reason. However the more she travels with her companions, the more they are rubbing off on her. Recently She let her guard down long enough to get drunk in a cantina on Tatooine, which is run by a human named Jerek Tel. There is something strangely comforting about him and both June and Blue have found themselves frequenting his bar on more than one occasion recently.

Obligations

Bounty

Whether or not her last master put a bounty on her head, June cannot say for sure. If he has, it is more likely to recover his lost investment (the ship) than the slave. Regardless however, June constantly acts as if she is being watched or followed in the event that her past may one day catch up with her.

Motivation: Anywhere but here

When June stole her freedom back, the last thing on her mind were questions like "Where will I go?" and "what will I do?" She saw the opportunity to take back her liberty and she took it. As such she is quite happy roaming the galaxy with her crew, hopping from one space port to the next looking for the next job.
