Slaves Hope is a heavily modified version of the YV560 Light Freighter, an exploration class freighter made by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Similar in design to CEC's YT-1300 light freighter, the YV-560 was slightly smaller, with a 30.1 meter length and a 22.4 meter saucer diameter. YV-560 freighters had room for 5 passengers and 2 crew, with approximately 40 tons of cargo space and enough food storage for 8 months. Its compartmentalized cargo bays could be individually sealed by bulkheads in case of serious damage to the ship. YV-560 operators could easily survey planets from orbit, due to the long-range sensor capabilities of the numerous antennae in its prow. The YV-560 also featured a dorsal mounted twin medium cannon, a powerful onboard scientific computer, a class 2 hyperdrive, and a class 15 backup hyperdrive.

First Pilot: Toydarian merchant named "Bulshk"

The Slaves hope started life as a basic model, it's original owner is unknown. What is known however is that at some point early in it's life, the ship fell into the possession of a Toydarian merchant on Tattooine named "Bulshk" who made some minor modifications to the ship in order to accommodate an increased cargo hold. The ship would later be stolen by an escaped slave belonging to Bulshk and heavily modified for improved defensive capabilities and a much better hyperdrive.

Next Pilot: June Starkiller

While under the possession of Bulshk the toydarian, the Slave's Hope was ironically stolen by a slave by the name of June Starkiller who tricked the guards who were at the time protecting the ship, leading them to believe she was there on an errand for her master. June took the ship and fled Tattooine and later met up with a Zeltron trader by called Dani Nova (aka Blue to her friends) who would become her friend, business partner and co-pilot.

Recent Activities

In the few short years since the slave turned smuggler stole the Slave's Hope, a number of upgrades have been made to the ship increasing it's range, speed, sensors and defensive capabilities. The ship has also been fitted with a new IFF so that the ship cannot be connected to it's previous owner, however the former slave liked the irony of the name and decided to keep it even though this is not the name currently transmitted by the new IFF.

The Slave's Hope and her crew are available for hire for a variety of missions including cargo runs, collection and delivery of goods, personal transport and other legal business. Interested parties should contact CFO Dani Nova

The ship recently played an essential role in the preservation of a mining facility belonging to Bargos The Hutt and 20 or so miners who live on the facility.

Although there is currently a Jedi Knight traveling with the ship, the Slave's Hope and her crew have no affiliation to the Jedi Order.
