Appearance
Selene is below average height with a deceptively slender, though fit frame. Years of being a Raptor pilot as well as months of training and almost-constant duty on the Battlestar Hyperion have kept her in good shape. Like her namesake, Selene's skin is fairly pale and even after being exposed to sunlight rarely goes past "light tan" (though she does admit to going "lobster red" easily). Her near-black hair is normally kept fairly short but often allows it to grow up to medium-length (at which point she considers it "too long and awkward" and has it cut short again). Whether short or long, she favours the "pixie cut" hair style.
Most of the time Jenna is encountered wearing her Fleet Officer Working Blues; or her Fleet Pilot Flight Suit on the rare occasion that she is piloting. When off-duty (which is rare) and in her private quarters, she favours wearing a silver-coloured silk nightgown of her own creation.
Selene has striking blue-grey eyes and an easy smile that naturally engenders trust and inspires others with confidence. She likes to consider herself somewhat girly (which she blames on her mother and family business) and usually wears some light make-up when available (she feels her pale complexion requires it and that she looks like a spectre without it). She enjoys wearing dresses - usually her own creations - but on a Battlestar during wartime, opportunities for such are rare. Therefore she jumps at such an opportunity if there is a remotely justifiable reason or excuse. Whilst she may claim indignation for her fashion-house upbringing, there is little denying its influence on her proclivities.
Perhaps as a side-effect of her pale complexion, or the fact that she lives a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, Selene is often mistakenly thought to be younger than she actually is. She has traditionally enjoyed people commenting on her apparent youth, but since becoming the CAG (and now XO) actually almost wishes she looked older as she thinks she looks too young to be the XO (though she acknowledges the fact that her meteoric rise on the Hyperion has only been due to extenuating circumstances since the Exodus, and that were the ship to rejoin the official Colonial fleet she would probably be immediately removed from this position).
Biography
Pre-Exodus
Jenna's mother was a famous fashion model who married a respected photographer and together formed the Cassiopeia GraySilk fashion house on Virgon. Stifling under the expectation of working in her parent's company, thus having little success of her own merit, she chose instead, to her family's despair, to sign up to the Colonial Fleet for a short tour of duty. She excelled in flight training and specialised in Raptors. Due to her pale complexion and a leaked childhood play vid, she earned the callsign Selene.
Once her tour was over she left the fleet, remaining as a reservist whilst working as a photographer for her father's company. She began building some acclaim as a photographer, but in typically Virgon manner shun the limelight. Though she enjoyed her day job, she always preferred her status as a Raptor pilot and contemplated taking this on full-time. She had just decided to go full-time when the Exodus, ironically, changed all that.
The Exodus
Prior to the Exodus Selene was a reservist pilot attached to the Battlestar Galactica, usually escorting personnel. The chaos of the attack on Caprica caused her to become separated from the Galactica with a damaged jump drive. Unable to jump away from the system, she ended up on the Battlestar Hyperion which arrived fortuitously. Finding herself the highest-ranking colonial pilot on a training ship full of cadets, but few surviving qualified graduates, the then-Lieutenant Selene was quickly thrust into active duty and quickly made the acting CAG - a position that would be officialised quickly, with a promotion to Captain soon after.
Time as the CAG
After her promotion to Captain, Selene officially served as the ship's CAG (and highest-ranking pilot on the Hyperion). During this tenure she was vocal about her belief that a viper pilot may be more suited for CAG, but accepted that at present she had the most flight time and combat experience (though she says anti-pirate and anti-smuggling operations is not much experience in open warfare with the Cylons; an argument her Commander rebuted with "since no-one has any experience against the cylons, that still makes you the most qualified"). As CAG she believed in leading by example and going out on the dangerous missions, refusing to put a less-experienced pilot in danger when she knew she could do it. Unfortunately the fact she was a Raptor pilot and effecively filling a role much like that of an unofficial XO meant that she often had to take a step back to coordinate operations instead of participating in them.
Executive Officer
Proving herself as a strategist and natural leader as the unofficial XO of the Hyperion, advising the Commander on military issues and supervising operations resulted in Selene recently being promoted to the rank of Colonel and being confirmed as the Hyperion's XO. Since becoming the XO Selene has made a few "bold" decisions that not everyone has approved of - such as apparently befriending "Hope", a captured Cylon skinjob; and adding a wanted terrorist to the active flight roster (granting effective pardon/sanctuary to her). Despite any resentment about these decisions, the fact is that each decision has so far proven ultimately beneficial to the Hyperion. Many of the crew did not like some of her decisions, but most appear to at least respect them. The general mood is that so far the ship is in better hands with Selene serving as the XO, helping relieve some pressure off the beleaguered Commander.
Turning Point
Turning Point: The Battle
Selene's growing relationship with Hope led to her discovery that the Cylons were more similar to humans than anyone had expected - and likewise had their own thoughts and motivations. Of particular interest was that many of the Cylons believed the genocide of the human race to have been a mistake and that two factions had effectively developed within Cylon society on opposed sides of the issue. Whilst Hope was initially hostile in attitude towards Selene, her fair treatment by Selene led to her claim to be part of this "pro-life" faction that believed that Cylons should focus on their own evolution and not have gone to war with the Colonials. As their relationship improved and Selene and Hope found more mutual ground, Hope began providing Selene with intel that would help the Hyperion take on poorly-defended targets belonging to the "anti-human" (as Selene describes it) faction. This worked well for both sides as it reduced casualties to both of their respective factions. As Selene pointed out, the Hyperion was not interested in conflict, simply gaining supplies necessary to remain operational.
Employing Hope's latest intel, and using their new Black Widow Squadron a mission was launched to a planet where a scout party of the anti-human faction had landed chasing a Raptor belonging to the Battlestar Pegasus and setting up a scouting and communications post. The mission's dual-objectives were to destroy the comms relay (to prevent reinforcements being summoned) so that they could carry out urgent food, water and materials resupply; and find the downed Raptor in the hope that there may be survivors or information about the Pegasus. The mission was an overall success, but a cylon skinjob was killed before the comms relay went down. Hope stated that the cylon human replica model would resurrect within the hour and that at best they had a couple of hours before two Cylon Base Ships positioned nearby would jump into the system.
This presented a problem as the Hyperion was desperately short on resupplies and so Selene took a leap of faith and allowed Hope to contact her faction, hoping that she might be able to delay the arrival of reinforcements long enough for them to get essential supplies and retreat. Unusual since becoming XO, Selene actively flew her Raptor "Kyon" directly to aid in the recovery process; being able to coordinate things from planet-side. As they were expecting Cylons to jump in at some stage, she ordered Kyon to be loaded with anti-ship missiles. Even more surprisingly, she took Firebrand as her ECO. Although it was well known they had clashed Selene knew Firebrand was the only currently-unassigned ECO since Bull became CAG and Hornet (who Firebrand had been the ECO for) had been reassigned to the Black Widows. Perhaps it was the seriousness of the situation, or perhaps Firebrand knew this was a good opportunity to prove himself, but he acquited himself well enough that Selene would later commend Firebrand's performance on the mission.
A couple of hours later, a Cylon Base Ship jumped into the system. Although it launched its fighter compliment, it did not immediately attack the Hyperion's ships. Nonetheless, Selene began ordering all units involved in supply recovery to return to the Hyperion - even if this base ship did not attack, others would be arriving soon. Hope stated that the base ship was from "her" faction, and began conversing with them about the situation with the humans, and the possibility of a truce.
As anticipated, shortly after two more Base Ships jumped into the system - as expected these were from the "anti-human" faction. These also began launghing Raiders, but this time immediately began attack approach on the Hyperion. To the surprise of many (except Selene, who had taken the leap of faith that this would happen with Hope's help), the first Base Ship opened fire on the closest other Base Ship, with its Raiders attacking the Raiders of the new arrivals. Caught by surprise by this apparent betrayal, the Cylons were thrown into momentary disarray.
Whilst Selene could (many argue should) have taken advantage of the confusion to order the Hyperion's ships to return to their bays and flee the system - like they had done in most engagements with the Cylons - Selene took a snap decision. Realising this was a turning point since the Exodus where they finally had a chance to stop running, she ordered Hope and Sonar to work together to tag the first Base Ship's Raiders as "friendly" units on their IFFs, and ordered the attack squadrons to engage the other Raiders. She then ordered the Hyperion's Black Widow squadron to form a diamond formation around her own Raptor to form a defensive screen for her to attack the Cylon Base Ship, and ordered the Hyperion to "clear a path for the missiles" with their guns. Ultimately, the lives of three Black Widows were lost to create a small window of opportunity, but it was successful and her nuclear missiles struck true, heavily damaging the Base Ship's engines and launch bays (crippling movement and preventing them launching their remaining fighters - destroying several Cylon squadrons in their bays or as they launched). The crippled Base Ship fell quickly to the combined fire of the Hyperion and the allied Base Ship.
Whilst Selene was forced (due to lack of offensive weaponry) to return to the Hyperion (she abandoned her escort for this, telling them to re-engage the cylons under the CAG's directions) and successfully avoided hostile fire, making it back in one piece. Outnumbered and outgunned, and unable to flee due to the positioning of the allied Base Ship and the Hyperion, the second Base Ship fell shortly after.
Turning Point: The Aftermath
Although there had been a resounding victory with few relative casualties, tensions were high on the Hyperion. Most of Hyperion's crew and pilots knew why the Cylons had aided them, and even those few in the know were unsure if this alliance would suddenly turn into open conflict once again. Both sides which had been aiding each other minutes earlier, now stood tenseley with weapons locked on to each other.
Selene knew that the Cylons had effectively just turned traitor to help them - firing the first shots in what Hope stated would quickly become (the first) Cylon Civil War. Selene stated to Hope that it was acknowledgement of this act that had made her choose to aid Hope's Base Ship instead of retreating. She stated that "we could have fled - but your people have lost lives to aid us - I didn't think it fair to just leave them to deal with the repercussions." Considering the enormity of this action, she and the Commander knew that Hope could no longer be their prisoner; and that they would have to have an immediate diplomatic meeting with the Cylons.
Both Selene and the Commander knew that for a variety of reasons (not the least of which being ship security and that Selene had had more diplomatic contact with the Cylons - ie Hope - than the Commander) Selene would have to go. The head of their marines offered to go with her along with a guard squad, which Selene gratefully accepted. Sonar insisted on going with her but in a tense, though beautiful exchange of loving words, Selene convinced her not to go - insisting that she needed to know that Sonar was safe on the Hyperion... to give her a reason to have to make it back. Selene also took with them David Brennan - their "Cylon expert" who volunteered to go.
The mood on the ship was tense as she was given a short, respectful send-off - the type given to dignitaries, retirees or those going on suicide missions. It felt like Selene was flying to hand herself over to Death's waiting hands. Unwilling to show how scared she secretly felt, Selene went undeterred to Raptor Kyon and found her old ECO-turned-CAG Bull in the ECO seat. Neither of them tried to convince the other not to go - both knew each other too well to know they'd have any chance of succeeding. Selene admitted to taking comfort that Selene began her flying days with Bull, and that if this was to be her last flight at least it was comforting to end it with Bull. She joked "Don't tell Sonar... she'll never let me forget that I didn't let her come but you did." As Sonar gave them launch clearance, it began obvious she already knew, eliciting a sigh from Selene.
Selene piloted Raptor Kyon over to the Base Ship, asking questions about approach/landing protocols to Hope more out of nervousness than actual concern for flight protocols, and landed within the Base Ship's bays. As they prepared to disembark the Raptor, Selene stated wryly to Hope "I guess you're no longer our guest and we are yours - I hope you remember that I was nice to you." Hope disembarked first, and Selene - standing proud and brave in her officer's blues, disembarked after. Selene still admits that she found the sight of several model 6's (Hope's model) and even a few 5s (which she had known one - a sleeper agent on Galactica she knew as Boomer) disconcerting, "like speaking to a few groups of identical sixtuplets."
The meeting was tense, especially at first. The Cylons had taken a great leap for their beliefs, and were as unsure of where to go from here as Selene's people. It was quickly established, however, that whatever mistakes had occurred in the past; and whatever blame, animosities and rivalries individuals may harbour towards the other; that both sides collectively no longer wished to actively seek to destroy each other. They agreed to a formal truce and tentative alliance between "Hope's Faction" and the Hyperion. It was agreed that the Cylons would provide the Hyperion with aid and intel that would enable it to survive (and that they would also reach out similarly to the Battlestar Galactica and the colonial fleet) - but in return the Hyperion would aid the Cylons when asked. Selene agreed, pointing out that the Hyperion had never done anything other than simply "run from those trying to kill us, and try to survive" and that actively engaging in actions that endangered the ship would be hard to justify, and that "what can one old Battlestar do that your many Base Ships can't?" This was accepted by the Cylon delegation, who stated simply that that would be discussed in time - and as a goodwill measure gave Selene the first set of news that brought hope to her since the Exodus when (one of the other model) Six said: "Humanity thinks that the 30,000 or so remaining humans in the colonial fleet are all that remains of your race... but the truth is that there are close to a million left scattered around."
The initial exchange of information verified some events that even Hope (having been out of contact since her capture) was unaware about the recent development and current state of Cylon society... events that displayed to Selene how the factions were forming and why this Cylon civil war was looming. They informed Selene about the mistake that had been "New Caprica" and that the Pegasus had been destroyed. They also provided Selene was tactical information that included known locations of anti-human cylons concentration areas, old colonial weapons caches (so they could resupply their depleting ammunition and ship supplies) and starting points of areas where they could recover human survivors.
It was determined that there was a need for the Hyperion and Hope's faction to keep in contact to coordinate. As such Hope volunteered to remain on the Hyperion as a form of ambassador/liason. Likewise, Dr Brennan volunteered to stay on the Base Ship. Selene described the action once back on Hyperion on "He claimed he wanted to stay because it would be a fascinating way to learn about their culture, but really I think he was secretly drooling at the amount of attractive female skinjobs around him." They agreet to re-meet in a few weeks time to discuss the next step, then Selene returned to the Hyperion and delivered the good news to the Commander, who hailed her as a hero.
Knowing that they had a while before any other cylons would turn up to this area (having bigger problems with the sudden civil war outbreak than the Hyperion's resupply efforts) the Hyperion began resuming resupply efforts.
Current Activities
The "Turning Point" events occurred a mere two days before Selene was due to marry Sonar. As such, the very next day they were able to let their hairs down in seperate hen nights/stag nights. The day after Selene and Sonar married in a very public ceremony on the ship, with a smaller reception limited mostly to the Hyperion's pilots and flight crew - those who Selene and Sonar had known better. Flush with hope due to the new situation with the cylons (and knowledge of at least a brief respite), Selene and Sonar are currently looking forward to beginning their honeymoon.
Personality
Selene never asked or expected responsibility - she just loved flying - but has a strong sense of duty and responsibility. As the ship's XO she is aware that her every decision could costs lives. Every death on her hands weighs heavy on her. She understands that in war people die, and that she has to make the tough calls that result in knowingly sending others to their deaths for the good of the fleet - but it is not a decision she allows herself to accept lightly. She refuses to think of it as "a numbers game" and whilst she will send a flight of pilots to their deaths if she believes it is necessary, she will not do so without serious consideration of alternatives and necessity. Selene remembers the name of every pilot that has died under her command and has their names and images on her own wall, as a constant reminder to herself of why she needs to be the best she can be and both the sometimes-costly price of success, as well as the consequences of failure.
When not on duty or pressed by the realities of war, Selene is a surprisingly friendly person to those who take the time to know her. She's quick to smile and has a wry sense of humour with a wise-ass attitude to back it up. She's an idealist and although she's hard on herself every time she loses someone, she hopes for the best and has a (often unrealistically) positive outlook on things and people. She believes actions speak for themselves and dislikes glory hounds, although is quick to allow others their 15 minutes of fame and give commendations when deserved. Selene tends to be a little overconfident about her abilities, sometimes resulting in her getting in a little over her head (although she has so far always managed to climb back out) and has been known to allow her amorous feelings to interfere with her better judgement and duties.
Other Notes
Sixth Sense
Even from an early age Selene had an acute intuition that would serve her well. This manifests itself as an uncanny insight into others' motivations and actions, and the ability to sometimes sense danger before it happens. Though she doesn't think of herself as a prophet or having "the sight" like the religious crewmen claim of her, she has learnt to trust her Virgon instincts and no-one can doubt that they haven't saved lives.
NPC to PC
Personal entry by player: Fenton
I originally created Selene to be used as an npc for a Battlestar Galactica game I ran after being inspired by the first season of the re-imagined series. It was a pre-exodus version of Galactica, set a few months before the events of the series (I always wanted to do this so the events would happen at some point as a surprise to the player) using modified Storyteller system rules (by White Wolf). In its short lifespan, Selene was a plunk reservist Raptor pilot, providing assistance to the players (all Viper pilots) and being a fun friend. When the official tie-in Cortex rules version came out, Selene was the only npc to survive the shift to be rules-converted to be a new NPC. The Cortex-version I wanted to run never materialised, however, and instead Darth Peachy decided to run a campaign (on the Battlestar Hyperion) in which I would be a player.
I thought Selene was a fun character with a lot of potential, so we statistically-retconned her to fit the power-level of Darth Peachy's game (he actually wanted her a little more experienced than I'd originally made her - I would realise why once the game started) and turned into a PC. Whilst biographically she was Galactica crew, in the first session she was caught up in the battle over Caprica and ended on the Hyperion instead, where she was quickly made CAG due to her being the only non-Ensign pilot who wasn't a cadet. Of course, Selene was never designed or intended to be a leader - she was the type of hothead whose wisecracks and smartass attitude senior officers hate (but too valuable to kick out), so being almost immediately thrust into a leadership role went completely against her personality - and trying to play her personality whilst feeling the need to mature and be responsible for the many (inexperienced) lives under her responsibility was good fun to play. A character who hated responsibility, she took every death under her command heavily, but grew tougher and learnt from it. The Selene we ended with would be a very different person from how she began - for the better. One of the most interesting character development arcs I've ever had. And her romance with Sonar probably my favourite ever roleplay romance.
Combat Style
Although she rarely sees combat flight since becoming the XO, Selene trained as a Raptor pilot. Most of the time her combat flight operations were scouting, electronic warfare or communications/coordination - so she usually fled from or stayed back from trouble. The realities of war have led to her revealing a penchant for unorthodox tactics, including her signature (and now-famous) "Crazy Half-Moon" flight manoeuvre. Considering she flies a normally-unarmed ship, the fact she has at least three confirmed Cylon "Raider" kills and at least double that in Centurions is telling.
When in a "Strategic Coordinator" role, she prefers to assign pilots based on meritocratic ability and experience. She sees this as "applying pilots to what they do best for best effect" but critics state that this tends to give preference to a select few rather than rotating responsibilities, and keeps some "preferred" out of danger. These critics have so far been silenced by Selene's results. Since becoming the XO she usually "recommends" pilots for missions to the new CAG, but has not yet pulled rank on these decisions and, indeed, is only likely to do so if she felt strongly against something. Just as she believes she was given (and deserved) her status based on her decisions and actions, she believes that the new CAG likewise needs to make his own command decisions. Knowing how scary it was to be suddenly dropped in the proverbial deep end, however, she is willing to provide any advice she can to the new CAG (or any other officer who asks her advice).
In personal combat, Selene is aware that as a pilot who has spent more time as a reservist than on active duty, she has received only basic personal combat training. Even though she has made a concerted effort to work on her combat skills and has good physical ability, she knows in a straight-up fights she cannot stand up to a typical marine - muchtheless a Cylon Centurion. She also knows that her role is as coordinator instead of combatant. As such when involved in a firefight she tends to rely on getting behind cover and "focus on not dying" with opportunistic use of her standard-issue Picon Five-seveN to "support those with better odds of taking those frakkin' toasters down."
Social Style
Selene is an easy-going person with a friendly demeanour, but dislikes glory hounds. Therefore the best way to curry favour in social situations with her is to be friendly but respectful and not over-glorify personal achievements.
Selene still thinks of herself as "just another pilot" and a gear in the larger machine that is the battlestar, and therefore prefers to be treated as an equal by others. She prefers to have an enlisted engineer or a pilot disagree with her openly (though respectfully) than to be afraid to disagree when she has made what they consider a bad call. She has always shown respect for others who disagree with her, though she refuses to back down when she believes she is right and has been known to threaten to maroon dissidents on a planet with nothing but a bunch of sandwiches.
Selene is naturally wry and thus appreciates others with a sense of humour (and those who take her sarcasm well) as long as there is respect. A light joke or sarcasm at her or another's expense will usually get a laugh; but a statement that maliciously criticises authority or others will usually get a stern rebuke.
Selene has been known to pull rank to win arguments with those she feels deserve to be put in their place. Her pilots have learnt the hard way to show respect to the Engineering crew or face a whiplash from her. Despite this, she is an idealist with a heart of gold and if approached respectfully will usually try to help. Selene has been known to refuse requests but later issue orders or organise things in a way that, when considered, actually end up with the same end result as what the request asked.
Relation with Others
Lieutenant Sally "Sonar" Gray (nee Jones)
Shortly after coming on to the Hyperion Selene met Sally "Sonar" Jones, the ship's DRADIS operator who, as acting CAG, she had to frequently liase with on operations. Whilst outsiders may have thought them oil and water considering their totally contrary backgrounds and personalities, their mutual love for sarcasm and wit led to them becoming fast friends. Selene claims that from the first time she saw Sally that she believed there was a spark between them. Indeed it was not long after their initial meeting that the two women became lovers. Although they kept their relationship semi-secret at first, it was Selene who "outed" their relationship with a romantic gesture in the Hyperion's mess hall during the busy lunch period. Although it is well known that Sally is the more overtly boisterous and extrovert of the two of them, it is a curios fact that it has historically tended to be Selene that pushes their relationship to the next step. It was Selene that outed their relationship, and it was Selene who proposed marriage to Sally. When Sally asked the Commander permission to marry Sally, the Commander's comment was "it is clear to everyone how much the two of you love each other."
In an open ceremony conducted by Commander Areol on the Flight Deck, Selene and Sally were married. The event was well received by most and has been hailed as helping improve morale on the Hyperion by reminding others that even through the dark times, happiness can be found - and that it is important to find reasons to live and not just survive. Despite the fact that Selene is generally considered to be "the woman in that relationship" it is Sally who changed her surname to Gray as the symbolic gesture of their union.
Captain Dwayne "Bull" Harnett
Dwayne "Bull" Harnett was Selene's ECO and they have been friends since they were assigned together years ago. They have been through many missions together and are very close friends, and Selene thinks of him as a big brother. Selene's main regret about becoming XO is that it means her days of flying with Bull are probably over - especially since Bull was recently made the new CAG. Selene knows he is a gentle giant with an unjustified black mark on his past, and would do anything in her power for him.
Selene recently played cupid, and set Bull up with the ship's CMO (Chief Medical Officer), Dr Cox. She gave Bull the opportunity to meet Dr Cox socially, and has provided moral support to both of them. On her wedding day, Selene arranged for a private room for them, and spent time with them and Sonar during her honeymoon as couples. Their friendships (and Bull's romance with Dr Cox) appear to be deepening.
Peanuts
Peanuts is Selene's pet dog. He was gifted to Selene as a wedding present by some of the flight crew who recovered him from the planet over which the truce with the cylons was made.
Hope (Cylon Model 6)
Hope is a Cylon "skinjob" that was captured by the Hyperion shortly after they became aware of the existence of the human-replica cylons. She revealed little at first other than she was the 6th model, both referring to her cylon model number and name, and was hostile towards Selene. Selene believed that the cylon was deliberately goading her with the intention of getting herself executed, but "broke" her aggressive spirit when doctors and scientists under her instructions found a way to disable her ability to upload her memories and personality if destroyed.
Since then Selene has spent a lot of time with the cylon, and gradually they began to respect each other and learn more about each other's cultures. As their relation became more amicable and both attempted to find ways to bridge the gap between their cultures, Selene stated that for humans having an identity was important, and that the cylon should adopt a name if she was serious about attempting to bridge the gap. When the cylon asked Selene to pick something, Selene named her "Hope" - saying that it was because "you may be the best hope for a future that doesn't involve both our races permanently killing each other."
Hope and Selene are now on quite friendly basis. Although initially both of them appeared to (deep down) have insecurities/fears about the other's true intentions, the events of "Turning Point" has done much to allay the suspicions that both had for the other. Selene has stated that it will take time, saying "my generation may be beyond ever truly being friends with the cylons who wiped out their families" but Selene has learnt to seperate her anger at the cylon race from her thoughts of Hope as an individual. As such, they appear to be well on the way towards becoming friends (in fact, slightly worrying to Selene is that she has at times suspected Hope may be romantically interested in her - or at least has interpreted some of Hope's actions as suggestively so).
It may be a long-shot, but Selene herself admits she's an eternal optimist.

- (Sonar) "How can you ask me to stay here without you? How do you expect me to live if you don't come back?"
- (Selene) "Do you think I can do this unless I know you're safe? I need to know you are here, safe. You give me strength... you light those beacons that guide me home. You being here gives me the reason to come back! No cylon base ship is going to stop me coming back here and marrying you!"
- (to Hope) "What should I expect, other skinjo...er...Cylon human-replica models... like you?"
- (to Bull) "I began my flying career with you as my ECO. I take comfort knowing that if this is my last flight, that it's with you."
