Biography

Pre-Exodus

Sally Jones was born Cynthia Eriku, daughter to Oswin and Geraldine Eriku, two of Libris best lawyers. She was born and raised on Libris in the colonies capital of Themis and attended an all-girls school. As a student, she was not much different from any other girl, she worked hard during school hours and handed in her homework on time. But during her free time, Cynthia enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her friends and in particular her best friend Sara Valerie.

Sara and Cynthia were inseparable and yet quite physically different. Cynthia was taller and had shoulder length blonde hair and dressed exactly according to the school code of conduct. Her parents were extremely conservative and so accessories such as make up, ear rings or other piercings of any nature, were amongst many things that she was denied. Cynthia argued how unfair this was with her parents, especially seeing as in contrast her friend Sara was quite short but had flowing long red hair, pale skin and bright red rosey cheeks that were accentuated by facial make up like eye shadow and bright red lip stick, four silver coloured hooped ear rings, a tongue piercing and several other piercings on her body that only Sara and Cynthia knew about.

Sara was often told by the teachers to take her piercings out when at school. She didn’t argue the fact and complied willingly as her parents were quite liberal with her and would allow her to wear what she chose within reason as long as it didn’t break the school code of conduct or make her look like a “street walker” as her father used to say. Sara knew that if she was reprimanded at school for being insubordinate that the teacher would call her parents in and that would put a stop to the freedom that she enjoyed.

Neither of the two were particularly rebellious in nature, but Sara knew how far she could test people before getting into trouble and on the odd occasion when she went too far, she was clever enough to worm her way out of it somehow, whilst Cynthia longed to be able to do things other girls took for granted like wear ear rings or make up. Perhaps that was foundation of their friendship and what made them so close, Cynthia reminded Sara what her life might be like if one day she crossed the line and couldn’t get out of it and in turn, Sara showed Cynthia what life could have been like for her, had she been blessed with more understanding parents.

The two friends grew closer and closer. Their time at the all-girls school came to an end when they were 16 years old and they moved onto the Themis College together. During a class in their second year they sat at the back of the class room passing notes to each other and giggling. When the lecturer came over and demanded to see the note Sara was reluctant to hand it over, but Cynthia was terrified and begged Sara not to. The lecturer told Sara that if she did not hand the note over, that they would both be sent home for the day. Sara, using the same logic she had always used, decided it was better to hand the note over than to defy the lecturer and risk disappointing her parents. As she went to hand the note over Cynthia jumped up, snatched it from her out stretched hand, put the note in her mouth and swallowed it. The lecturer was furious and sent both of them to the Principal’s office to wait whilst their parents were called in.

Cynthia and Sara sat on opposite ends from each other across the waiting room outside the Principal’s office. Sara was angry at Cynthia, if she had just let her give the note over they wouldn’t be here right now and they had a better chance at explaining matters at home, calmly after complying with the lecturers instructions, than here with two sets of parents who would no doubt be embarrassed and angry at having their busy lives interrupted for their daughters intolerable insubordinate and disruptive behaviour in class. Sara didn’t know Cynthia’s parents like she did, Cynthia tried to beg and reason with Sara, but her pleas were met with an ignorant and silent shrug as Sara callously turned her head away.

About an hour went by, college was finishing and students were starting to leave for the day. To Sara, time seemed to stand still; she couldn’t wait to be back at home. Soon night would come and she was confident that all of this could be forgotten by tomorrow morning if she played her cards right and as she watched the minute hand slowly and painfully make its full trip around the face of the clock she could only pray to the Gods for her parents to get there. Cynthia on the other hand couldn’t bear to look at the clock. She held her face in both hands and cried nervously, occasionally looking up at Sara for some sign of comfort.

When both their parents arrived, Cynthia was slightly relieved that the principle had invited all parties into his office at once. Even if Sara wasn’t talking to her, the mere fact of having her there brought some comfort, although from the moment they arrived and as they entered the office Cynthia kept her head down to avoid looking her parents in the eyes. The Principal explained to both sets of parents what had happened in the class room. Both sets of parents demanded to know what they were doing that was so bad that Cynthia was so desperate to hide.

Cynthia was still trying to think of some excuse, some small white lie that would save her… she stumbled and mumbled on her words for a moment until Sara brought out a note pad from her bag, the same note book she had been using to write her notes on. Cynthia’s jaw dropped, her heart rate soared and her skin went cold to the touch, in a word she was terrified! Sara’s notebook contained evidence of how their friendship had shed its cocoon and blossomed into something far more elaborate and beautiful over the last two years. This was far worse than the lecturer retrieving the one single note with various “I YOU’s” and “kisses” and “hugs” that were scribbled upon it. This note book was a diary containing their most intimate thoughts, feelings and dreams for their future together. Worse still was that Sara openly spoke about their “love” for each other! Cynthia wailed and clawed desperately and impulsively at Sara before falling to her knees, begging her to stop.

Sara’s parents were shocked and speechless, a heart-warming contrast to Cynthia’s parents reaction which was one of abhorrent disgust and resentful rage. Cynthia’s parents refused to entertain this theatrical any longer, her father grabbed her by the arm, pulled her up off the floor and dragged her out of the building with Cynthia kicking and screaming, professing her undying love for Sara. At this point the worst had happened so there was no point in denying it any longer. As the sound of Cynthia’s screams that filled the air slowly faded, it was only then that Sara had truly realised the magnitude of what had just happened and all she could do as she watched Cynthia go out of her life for ever was to shed a tear and mutter the words “I’m so sorry”.

Back at home Cynthia’s parents didn’t give her the usual “we are so disappointed in you” speech that most kids got for even the most minor infractions. They yelled the house down… actually to her surprise, only her father yelled the house down, whilst her mother remained calm although with a stern look on her face. She only spoke when occasionally Cynthia’s father gave her some sort of sign that he expected her to say something or to agree with him on some point. Cynthia cried throughout, at first she was timid and wept silently, but something stirred in her and as he violently ravaged her room in a destructive search of every last picture of Sara that Cynthia had in her room, all of a sudden a soothing calm washed over her and all of Cynthia’s father’s tactless and spiteful shouting lost its bite. Cynthia could just imagine escaping to a place far from Libris where nobody knew her; she could change her whole identity and live her life the way she chose to. Cynthia could feel the warm sun gently caressing the skin on the back of her neck and tanning the areas that her bikini did not cover, she could smell the fresh cut grass that brushed against the undersides of her bare feet and the wind that blew through her long flowing hair.

Now her father’s words weren’t just empty and meaningless, in fact she couldn’t even hear him speaking at all and so the thought didn’t even occur to her that she might be interrupting him when she proudly announced that she was leaving home for good. Cynthia didn’t even stop to pack any belongings, anything that held any meaning to her had already been destroyed by her father, instead she just walked calmly and confidently towards the door. She was stopped by her mother who, much to her surprise, forced some money into her hand and wished her well… Cynthia’s confidence faltered momentarily as she hesitated and uncertainty and regret began to seep back in. During those precious few seconds, Cynthia heard her father, who had made no attempt to follow her, in the background still shouting, encouraging her to leave and with a last kiss goodbye from her mother, Cynthia heard her father’s voice for the last time as he loudly and clearly roared through the corridor, words that seemed to shake the foundations of the building as they echoed throughout every room; she was no longer welcome in his house. With that her mother began to cry and ushered Cynthia out of the door as she said “You will always be my daughter!” She gently placed one hand on Cynthia’s face one last time, the tears rolled down her flustered cheeks as she watched her daughter walk out of her life forever and Cynthia never looked back.

Cynthia planned to get as far away from Libris as possible. Her mother had given her some cash but only what she had within reach at that moment, barely enough to buy food for a few days and not enough to get a room or even transport off world. Her realism only set her back slightly, her optimism was what kept her going. With the money her mother had given her she bought a cheap hold all from a flea market, a few T-shirts, a pair of counterfeit branded jeans and some clean under wear. Cynthia nothing if not resourceful, she slept anywhere she could find shelter and she even managed to locate various health clubs and gymnasiums where she could have a hot shower. She combed the streets, stopping at every bar, shop and restaurant looking for work and took the first bar job she was offered. She didn’t like it, not because she was too proud or high strung to accept such a way of living, but because she had to avoid contact with anyone who might recognise her at all costs, her friends, her family, her parent’s friends and even the Police might tell her parents where she was. If they knew that, they might have calmed down enough to try to persuade her to come home and that was the only thing she wasn’t willing to do.

Cynthia travelled all over Libris for a year and never stayed in one place too long, but the money she was earning just wasn’t lasting long enough for her to live off of and have enough left over to save up for her transport off Libris and start her new life elsewhere, where ever that might be. She hadn’t really thought of where she would go and nor did she care, but the longer she stayed on Libris , the harder it was becoming to keep moving. Soon she there would be no where left on this Gods forsaken colony to go and she was running out of bars.

One day Cynthia walked passed a seedy looking strip club that had a sign outside advertising vacancies for new dancers. She dismissed the idea immediately at first but she was out of money, she hadn’t eaten for days and after countless applications for bar work being turned down, she had to accept that her up beat and idealistic attitude, whilst worth holding onto wasn’t going to feed her and clothe her and it certainly wouldn’t earn her the money she needed to get off Libris. Reluctantly she headed back to the spot where she had seen the advertisement, which luckily for her was still there. She went inside the club which doubled up as a regular bar in the day time, she asked about bar work first but the only vacancy available was for a stripper. The thought of taking her clothes off and displaying her body to the public so that dirty old men with too much money and not enough luck with the ladies could lay their grubby hands all over her body made her sick to her stomach. Cynthia had blossomed into a beautiful young lady, her breasts were full and supple, her body was slender and toned and her skin was soft and smooth to the touch. Despite her outward appearance and her new found freedom, Cynthia had still not had a sexual relationship with anyone; in fact she had no relationship with anyone, of any description since the day she left home. She had tried very hard not to think of Sara and her parents; she was determined to leave the past behind her. In order to begin living her own life her own way, she had to leave the old life behind.

After careful thought and consideration, Cynthia accepted the job at the strip club, although her new boss wasn’t fond of her name… Cynthia Eriku, he said it wasn’t the sort of name that would turn the punters on, and he insisted that she take a stage name like Sally… Sally Jones. His clientele couldn’t imagine themselves frakking someone called Cynthia Eriku, but Sally Jones was not only a very sexy teen, but she was a virgin! That’s the sort of stuff that drives the punters crazy he had told her. At first, the thought of changing her name to Sally Jones for the sole purpose of causing the men watching her dance to get an erection made Cynthia want to run back home. But then she remembered why she had left and why she had decided to come and enquire about the job vacancy here, then the realisation struck her that this might just be the best thing to happen to her since she left home over a year ago. The money here was triple what Cynthia earned doing normal bar work, the hours were less and she could share an apartment with a fellow stripper at a very reasonable rate!

Another year went by and things could not have turned out any better for Sally Jones. Her act had quickly become the most popular which had led to a pay rise, but it also led to VIP’s with a particular interest in Sally enquiring about private dances which would bring her an entire weeks wages for one night. When the manager explained what these so called private dances entailed, Sally wasn’t exactly thrilled.

Sally had taken to her new job somewhat hesitantly at first, she was clumsy and often people would boo her off the stage. On her very first show Sally got a bad case of stage fright when it came to sexually and suggestively removing her bra and she ran back to hide behind the curtain crying. After a while Sally realised that most people just looked and cheered, some people whistled and a few at the front occasionally tried to cop a feel. Whenever that happened the bouncers were always close at hand to keep the situation under control and as Sally became more confident she found herself caring less when people touched her, although it was comforting to know that the bouncers were only an arms-length away just in case.

The people that Sally worked with were nice, even her manager who she had first thought was as sleazy as his bar turned out to have her best interests at heart and during her time working there, she picked up a few self-defence tips from the bouncers and on more than one occasion she got the opportunity to practice while the bouncers made their way to the slime ball or the drunk who got over confident. After work Sally enjoyed having a friendly drink and a laugh with the bouncers and the manager and a couple of decent regulars who were allowed to stay inside long after the official closing time was called, they drank, talked, laughed and played Triad .

The first time Sally accepted a private dance she was very nervous. The client would be escorted by a bouncer into a private room at the back of the club and sat and waited with the bouncer at the door while Sally got herself ready. Then when the time came to do the deed she entered the room through a back door that led from her dressing room, sporting sexy lingerie. Sally had to walk over to where the client was sat patiently anticipating the treat that was to come, rub her-self up against him and dance erotically. These were VIP’s, men who brought a lot of money into the club on a nightly basis, so Sally had to let them touch her, but as always the bouncers were just outside if things got out of hand.

In the time that Sally worked at the strip club she grew very fond of one particular bouncer called Vinnie. Vinnie was a tough and fierce looking Tauron who had no qualms with patrons leaving the premises with bleeding noses, black eyes or even broken bones if they got out of line. With his guidance, Sally had gotten very good at looking after her-self and more often than not she shook her head at the over-zealous bouncers whenever she was confident that she could dissuade a patron who had been well behaved throughout the evening but got braver as he had more to drink. She almost felt sorry for most of the people who ended up face down in a puddle in the street. Of course, not every dance went smoothly and there were those times when two or more newcomers at the front of the crowd got frisky and either hadn't noticed the Bull Dozer bearing down on them, or were just too drunk or stupid to care.

Vinnie became Sally’s first sexual partner. She couldn’t help but find herself attracted to him and he had never shown her anything but kindness and friendship, although when they had sex it wasn’t quite how she imagined it would be. Though he was kind and friendly, he was also big and strong and sometimes didn’t realise his own strength. Occasionally he would accidentally push too hard or hold her too tightly, though he never knew it. Sally knew he would feel bad if she ever told him about the times he’d caused her pain and she didn’t want him to blame himself.

Their relationship lasted for another year until one fateful day; a Colonel from the Colonial Military who was on shore leave visited the club and after watching Sally dance, approached her for a private dance. Something about this man triggered something in Sally; was this a sign from the Gods? Could this be her chance to finally get off Libris once and for all? Sally was 20 years old now and had been working in the strip club for about 2 years. In that time she hadn’t forgotten about her goal to get off world but with the friends she had made, the money she was making and the life she had made for herself, she just wasn’t so desperate to get away anymore. Now that the thought came to the forefront of her mind, she realised that she had settled for something far less than she had wanted. Sure she had friends, a place to live and money in her pocket, but now she remembered the feeling of the sun on her back, the grass under her feet and the wind in her hair.

A single juvenile thought passed through her mind; maybe if she impressed this Colonel enough she could convince him to take her to the Colonial Fleet base on Picon! Sally recognised that this might mean having sex with the Colonel if that was what he required in return. She didn’t want to, she’d never had sex with anyone for money or favours and she had never thought of herself as a hooker, but this one time she had to be prepared for that possibility and as long as it was a one off thing then she could live with that… for the rest of her life.

Sally began to formulate a plan, first of all she had to tell her boss, who had always been very good to her, what she intended to do. Then she had to tell Vinnie that she was planning on leaving very soon but couldn’t say when and that she didn’t want him standing outside the door as he usually did. Sally was very vague and evasive, she answered most of his questions with phrases like “It’s not you, it’s me” and “I just need you to trust me on this”. This all made Vinnie very sceptical but he had to respect her wishes, although that didn’t mean he couldn’t tell the other bouncer to be extra vigilant.

Sally went through extra effort to get make self look as sexually pleasing as possible without looking like a common street walker. She remembered her father’s words and if there was one thing he had taught her, it was how to look attractive without looking slutty.

When she entered the room, the Colonel was sat there waiting for her. She confidently strutted over to him slowly placing one leg in front of the other being careful to only show enough to arouse him. She started off delicately stroking the side of his face and moving around to his lips, then down his chin and slipping her fingers smoothly under the collar of his shirt to gracefully undo the top two buttons and then she gently slid her fingers up along the side of his neck as she worked her way around to his back. As she stood behind him, leaning forward just enough so that he could feel her breathing down the back of his neck, Sally slid both arms around his shoulders to his chest where she continued to undo every button on his shirt. When she got as far down as far as she could go, Sally elegantly moved in front of the Colonel and undid he belt and zipper parting his trousers to display a pair of boxing shorts that were now pointing up at her.

The Colonel was so aroused by Sally that he was trembling violently. Sally sat herself down on top of his elongated boxer shorts and felt the lump poking her in the backside, she adjusted her seating position by swiveling on the Colonels lap. This had two effects, firstly she could sit more comfortably without the risk of his manhood popping out from his boxing shorts and unexpectedly penetrating her and secondly it made the Colonal groan ecstatically. Using only her finger tips she gently stroked down from the Colonels lips, neck, chest and abdomen, all the way down to his groin when suddenly he let out a loud groan and she felt something warm and sticky shooting up through his underwear. Sally hadn’t expected that to happen and she struggled to hold back the look of disgust on her face, it was all she could do to stop herself from jumping up and screaming. Instead she slowly stood up and walked purposefully to a small round table which had a box of tissues on it. She offered the box to the Colonel first and then took a couple herself to clean the inside of her thighs.

The Colonels face turned bright red and he was very apologetic. Sally leaned over to him a kiss on the cheek and assured him that it was ok. Now was her chance, she would use this mishap to win the Colonel over. She told him what a gentleman he had been the whole time and how other men offered far less money and expected a whole lot more in return. She assured him that she had never slept with anyone for money and was only doing this as a means to an end. The Colonel either through choice or through sheer embarrassment was hanging on her every word, then she moved in for the kill. He told him that the reason she was doing this was to save up money to earn passage to Picon where she wished to enlist with the Colonial Fleet. The Colonel took the bait and told her that his ship, the Battlestar Valkyrie was passing through Libris on its way to Picon and offered to sponsor her when she got there. Sally’s face lit up with joy and unable to contain her excitement she threw her arms around the Colonels shoulder, kissed him on the cheek and thanked him a hundred times!

The Colonel was as good as his word and a few weeks later, Sally was inducted into the Coloinial Fleet Training Academy. When Sally had left home as Cynthia, joining the military was the last thing on her mind and even now it wasn’t the most appealing life she would have chosen, but it got her away from Librisand it was better than working in a strip club for the rest of her life. She had done what she had to in order to survive and it had led her here and she intended to make the most of it.

The time she spent working at the strip club had changed Sally, she hadn’t planned on it but life has a way of working out and at the Colonial Fleet Academy, Sally found that the person she had become fit in very well with her fellow recruits. She retained one thing that is common to most people on Libris; when it was time to work Sally got stuck in but she had no ambition to become a high ranking officer and was quite content to do as much as expected of her in order to pass the course. In her free time she went to parties with her friends and even got into a relationship with a male recruit from Aerelon called Lee.

Sally found that she had a knack for dradis operation, sensor sweeps and the likes. She found the work enjoyable but it was also the course that held fewer assignments meaning that her work load was considerably less than others in her class. In contrast Lee was a hot shot and a glory hound, he had joined the Colonial Fleet for the chance to become a Viper pilot. The speed, the G forces, the front line action all excited him. He had a real passion for life and living every second as if it were his last, this was exactly what Sally found so appealing in him. Unlike Vinnie back on Libris, Lee was much younger and smaller built though more athletic. When they had sex, it didn’t hurt like it had done with Vinnie and every moment of it was as thrilling as Lee described the Viper training.

Unfortunately, Lee was too much of a hot shot and on his first day out in an actual Viper; Lee lost control during an attempted loop the loop over the training to impress his fellow students on the ground, including Sally and crashed the Viper into the ground. Sally watched in horror as the plane disintegrated on impact. All that was left as the emergency crews rushed over to the crash site were twisted and charred bits of metal that were unrecognisable as having once been part of a Viper.

Losing Lee was tough on Sally at first but she chose to take the good that had come from her short time with him. Sally had never loved Lee, nor did she pretend to, they had a mutual understanding, both of them young and enjoying life together for however long they had. When Lee died, Sally mourned him for a few months but celebrated the memory of his life with their colleagues. In the remaining years of her training, Sally did not get romantically or physically involved with anyone else. At the end of her training, Sally was posted as an Ensign on board the fleet training ship Battlestar Hyperion, which was one of the early models of Battlestar from the first Cylon War. The Hyperion had been decommissioned and sat in the Picon ship yards for a year until a new initiative saw her re-commissioned for active duty as a training ship. The Hyperion was returning to Picon after a 6 month training mission when the 12 Colonies were unexpectedly attacked by the Cylons. That was the day when Sally met Selene , it is the first time she has been attracted to a female since leaving her family on Libris 8 years ago. It is also the first time that she has been in a relationship of any description since the death of Lee in the Viper crash 4 years ago.

The Exodus

Prior to the Exodus Sally had joined the Colonial Fleet as a way of escaping her old life, though she didn't care much for military life and never excelled until recently. It is only since meeting Jenna that she settled on the Hyperion and for the first time ever is now enjoying life. With that she has become a valued member of the crew and has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant as a result.

Current Activities

Sally has become a dependable and valued member of the crew. She is the best Dradis operator that the ship has and she does her job to the best of her ability. Aside from being the Dradis Operator, Sally also takes on other tasks. She deals with inter ship Communications and does other operational tasks for Commander Areol and the Exo Selene.

Social Style

Sonar 2.jpg

Sally's life has been full of up's and down's. She has been happy for a few moments just to have her happiness ripped away from her in the blink of an eye. Although this has given her thick skin and she may be seen as one of the lads while playing a game of Triad in the Rec Room, or joining in a game of Pyramid on the court, she is still emotionally vulnerable.

She is bright and friendly and gets on with most people around the ship.

Other Notes

Despite her emotional vulnerability, Sally is incredibly fit physically. She can give as good as she gets and can withstand more punishment than most men.

She also has an exceptionally keen sense of hearing and a surprisingly good poker face.

She has often acted as an arbiter or a match maker between interested parties on the ship.

Relationship

Colonel Jenna "Selene" Gray

Selene 11.jpg

Sally is a warm and loving person but isn't the type to go looking for love. Early on in her relationship with Selene Sally had said that love always finds her and karma always finds a way to frak it up!

Selene is more than just a lover or partner to Sally, the two are soul mates and Sally would be broken without Selene. Recently Selene asked Sally to marry her in a very round about way. Sally wondered if Selene was really up for it or if she was being hasty. Either way it is a dream come true for her and she couldn't be happier. The two were recently married and are happy together with their pet daggit, Kyon.
