Emerald Tower Training Room (Emerald City Knights)

The Emerald Tower has a two-storey training room powered by four dedicated high-capacity computers which are separate from CAIn's core, but linked to it. This allows the training room to operate at full capacity without adversely affecting the rest of Emerald Tower's (or CAIn's) operations - or vice-versa. If required, CAIn could usurp the processing power of the training room, but that likelihood of necessity is deemed unnecessary due to CAIn's own superior processing power.

The computers generate room-filling, 32-bit colour images at 300 gigabytes per second, creating hard-light laser constructs (holograms) surrounded by force fields of anything imaginable that are virtually indistinguishable from reality. Mobile laser cluster heads are moved over the Room’s surface to facilitate the placement of gravity lenses and associated effects, allowing for the creation of solid surfaces by means of accurate surface texture modeling laid on polygonal surfaces formed by overlapping a series of lenses.

Extensive modeling programs allow for a great variety of realistic environments, as well as atmospheric and dust effects, while realistic wind and exhaust effects are created using progressed waved tractor beams. Projected pinpoint gravity lenses allow simple laser beams to be redirected as other light sources, with acoustic engines providing accurate noise level and frequencies. Projectiles are composed of rapidly moving, tightly-focused pressor beams.

The training room’s computers can be set to combat the Sentinels at varying degrees of difficulty, from simple (for basic practice exercises) to potentially lethal. CAIn monitors activities and/or if desired a manual observer can be situated in the overhanging control booth. Either CAIn and/or the manual observer can control and manage the room's mechanisms to oversee and control the exercise while ensuring the safety of the Sentinels. CAIn's safety protocols will always ensure that no lethal harm will come to trainees.

The Room’s World View Model Library has digital models of over 50 million objects and their attributes, including weapons, vehicles, buildings, and aliens. This allows, in addition to combat exercises, the ability to create virtual environments for exploration/investigation or simply generating gym equipment for normal usage. Realistic holograms of people can be created and overseen by CAIn, with one of many programmed (and customisable) personality profiles.

Whilst the room's official designation is simply "training room" various Sentinels have come up with alternate monikers for it. Ultramarine and Rocky favour "Danger Room" (like the training room used by the X-men - possibly either also built by MarsTech, or the inspiration for the training room), whilst Wyrmhole and Princess tend to use the term "Holodeck" (after Star Trek's holographic room) and sometimes employ the room's holographic capabilities for recreational and non-training purposes.
