Background
Steffi has no idea who her real parents are - divine or otherwise - as she was found abandoned in a plastic bag on the park bench. Whichever divine parent sired her evidently disowned her, as the goddess Artemis chose to adopt her. Whatever the motivation, Artemis presented herself to Steffi in her early teens and since then has advised (or caused events to nudge) her development.
The role Artemis has guided Steffi towards is to protect women. Steffi does this in two ways - she works as a midwife-nurse at the hospital, protecting women and their children medically. She also trains and keeps her skills sharp as a huntress, so she can remove more physical threats and take the fight the titanspawn.
Like her mother the goddess of the hunt, Stephanie tends to hunt alone, but is willing to work with others towards common goals.
