Appearance
Marv has spent a lifetime of mining Oridium on Gavos, which has given him an imposing physique, he is tall and brawny. However as a consequence he has gone bald and his skin has taken on a greyish hue. His skin is rough and dry and his hands bare the signs of years of hard manual labour. His eyes are as dark and as cold as the tunnels he has grown accustomed to working in.
Education
Marv had a hard start in life and began work in the mines along side his father, both worked day and night just to earn enough to pay their bills. Despite this however, he has a strong command of common sense and is capable of understanding instructions and carrying out his duties effectively.
Career
Through out his life Marv has worked hard in the mines and all that physical labour has turned him into a hardened man. He does his job well and cares for those who work under him, yet he is a strong leader and knows how to motivate his team. When the droids rebelled and rose up against their human counterparts; Marv felt the loss of several of his colleagues but it did not stop him from keeping the others safe. He pushed down into the mines and barricaded them selves in, they took up what arms they could and waited while he made his plans for a counter attack.
The droid rebellion was crushed by a Zeltros called Dani Nova, who he has come to know as Blue and her crew. They were sent by the mines new owner, Bargos The Hutt to assess the mines profitability and cash in on his investment. Had Blue taken the money in the office, the mines and the miners would have suffered. As it went, Blue took a small cut of the money to offer to Bargos and told him the truth about the state of the mine. But she also planted the idea in his head that the mining facility would serve as a good front for a criminal enterprise. Consequently the Hutt ploughed money into the facility which increased the miners standard of life considerably.
Marv offered the remainder of the credits, which the Hutt was unaware of, to Blue and her crew in appreciation for all that they had done for Marv and his miners. He has pledged to stay in contact with her as an ally.
Current Activities
Marv is currently over seeing the re-build of the mining facility and it's re-purposing as a criminal den for Bargos. Although the works to make the facility fit for purpose are currently on going, Marv has already taken to his new role with enthusiasm and is currently in the process of making some very profitable deals for his employer.
Personality
Marv has worked hard his whole life for an honest if not sub standard wage, for now it's put a roof over his head and food on the table. There are certain things Marv wouldn't do such as kill a man in cold blood without good reason, however working for the Hutts, smuggling and other minor misdemeanors are not beneath him. He does have some ethics though and as such, he is a fairly amiable person and quite easy to get along with.
Combat Style/Other Notes
Marv is a man of average intellect and wit, however what makes him a dangerous adversary is his strength and his charisma. He knows what is best for his men, even when they don't and he leads from the front. He carries a light Hold Out blaster in the mines, something which he knows was not permitted by regulations and if his men had found out prior to the droid rebellion, might have had disastrous consequences. This was a calculated risk, knowing full well that the Galaxy is a dangerous place and if they were ever attacked, his men would not be equipped to defend themselves.
Social Style
Marv works hard and he plays hard, when he is not working he enjoys a good cigar and a drink around a table of sabaac with his mates and sometimes just putting his feet up. He is charismatic and has a certain sarcastic wit that some may find charming.
