Joan Davis (Scion)

Vital Stats

Background

Joan Davis - Scion of Poseidon

Joan Davis was an Australian oceanographer who recently learned that her true father was Poseidon, the God of the Sea. Great Poseidon sent mermen to rescue Joan from aquatic titanspawn who sought to kill her while she was SCUBA diving near the Great Barrier Reef. The mermen explained that Poseidon took the form of Joan’s human father in order to lay with Joan’s mother, who went to her grave insisting that her husband (sea captain William Davis, who had been lost at sea for over a year before Joan was born) was Joan’s true father. Now, Joan accepts the responsibility of patrolling the oceans for signs of titanspawn activity in her father’s name. Beneath Joan’s placid surface, however, a storm is brewing. She blames Poseidon for toying with her mother’s mind and affections and for the mental problems that plagued her mother throughout Joan’s formative years. What’s more, she harbors a dark suspicion—did Poseidon himself deliberately kill William Davis in order to seduce Joan’s mother?<ref>Justin Achilli et al, Scion: Demigod, White Wolf Game Inc, 2007</ref>

Divine Relations

Triton - Joan has been visited on various occasions by Poseidon's son Triton, an ascended Scion merman who is therefore her half-brother. Poseidon usually employs Triton to contact his Scions, so Joan has seen him more often than her actual father.

Thalassino Nero - Whilst they have not yet met, Joan has been made aware by Triton that she has an elder half-brother called Thalassino Nero who used to be an officer in the Royal Navy.
