Appearance

Gabriela in her signature white mage robes

People who hear the legend of Gabriela the Evoker are often surprised and underwhelmed when they meet her in person, as her reputation is larger than life. Gabriela is quite short and, due to a harsh and poor upbringing, is quite skinny - although she is fairly curvy due to her vistani heritage and Barovian ethnic build. She has long, striking red hair that is naturally thick and wavy and often seems like wildfire, and typically is kept loose both in front and behind her back, making her face look more slender than it actually is. Physically, she is an attractive but unimposing presence and, not even in her 20th year yet, a very young woman.

This, however, tends to not last long as Gabriela has a fiery personality and a fire in her eyes that makes her seem older and more imposing than her actual statute should allow. Her eyes are defiant and borderline angry almost all the time, and her default expression almost feels like it says "try it!" - her smile, whilst glorious and large, is often described as being almost like a predator's smile.

These days, she is most commonly seen wearing the white mage robes she inherited from her mother - an elegant robe that is loose and light, comfortable and elegant, with silver highlights. It is deceptive, however, as it is a powerful magic robe (see signature equipment) and highly protective, but it cuts an impressive figure. Gabriela often wears a cloak of some kind if she wants to avoid attention, as the robes make her stand out as someone with wealth (which she doesn't really have, but typically only the wealthy can afford this kind of clothing) or import. Not very fashion-conscious, the elegance of her robes is usually offset by a set of common hard-wearing boots that she has worn for years and is reluctant to change, even though they've seen better days and likely are only held together by periodic use of transmutation magic to repair.

During her adventuring days prior to being given her signature robe, she wore leather armour of the kind common by thieves and adventurers - light, dark, and silent. She occasionally dons it still when there is need, typically when wanting to blend in better, though she is proud and stubborn enough that this is rare. In casual usage, she tends to wear clothing common to the region she is in, typically Barovian fashion, valuing comfort and practicality over aesthetics.

Background

Early Life

Born Ana Kemnitz, Gabriela Luceanu's life began in the village of Barovia, a land perpetually cloaked in mist and shadow. Her parents, Vasile and Yvonne Kemnitz, were both Canjar half-Vistani, with Yvonne also having a potent mix of Forfarian ancestry. This unique heritage endowed Gabriela with her mother's vibrant red hair, a striking feature, and latent magical potential from both sides of her heritage. Unbeknownst to her, she also had a sister, Sofya, lost to her until much later in life.

The danger that surrounded her family was intense and immediate. Believing Gabriela's parents dead and to protect her from their enemies, Sister Anika, a friend of her parents, left young Ana in the care of Sister Rodika Luceanu, a nun at the Temple of the Blessed Succor in Barovia. This small sanctuary of the Morninglord became Ana's new home, where Sister Rodika, though stern, provided a semblance of stability. Kept in the dark about her true identity to ensure Ana's safety, Sister Rodika named the orphan Gabriela, severing her from her past and her true identity but unknowingly ensuring her protection against the enemies that had plagued Gabriela's family.

Growing up as a half-Vistani orphan in Barovia was a constant struggle. The villagers were suspicious and unkind, seeing Gabriela as an outsider and bad omen. Sister Rodika’s care provided some solace, but her own battle with depression cast a long shadow over Gabriela's formative years. This culminated in Rodika's tragic suicide when Gabriela was only ten years old. The loss of her guardian left Gabriela to navigate a hostile world alone.

Forced to fend for herself, Gabriela turned to thievery and cunning. She quickly learned to survive by her wits, using manipulation and conning to obtain what she needed. On learning of sister Rodika's suicide, Sister Anika returned to the temple to protect Gabriela, and did her best to look out for the orphaned girl, offering occasional help despite her own limited means. This sporadic aid was often the difference between survival and starvation for Gabriela. Gabriela would only much later on, in adulthood, learn that sister Anika had been a friend of her mother and brought her to the village for her own protection, and now felt compelled to aid her as best she could in promise to the memory of her old friend.

Fateful Encounters

The Lost Boy

When Gabriela was eleven, her life took a dramatic turn. One fateful night, she stumbled upon a young boy, lost and bleeding, pursued by a vampire. With Sister Anika’s aid, they managed to save the boy, whom Gabriela named Dmitry. The village blacksmith, recognizing the boy's potential strength, took him in as an apprentice and adopted son with the words "He seems like a strong lad. I'll have him for me forge." Dmitry and Gabriela quickly became inseparable friends, forging a bond that would shape their futures.

Dmitry, harbouring secret romantic feelings for Gabriela from the start, became her steadfast companion. He provided a sense of stability and support that she had sorely lacked since Sister Rodika's death. Their friendship was a beacon of light in the otherwise dark and oppressive environment of the village of Barovia. Gabriela's feelings for Dmitry were not so much unrequited as simply unaware. She loved Dmitry in her own way but having never really known love in her life without loving parents or family, and a harsh carer, she simply couldn't understand what she felt beyond knowing she cared for Dmitry in her own way. For Dmitry, however, it was enough.

Nathaniel Halloway's Arrival

Gabriela in common clothing she wore just before her adventuring days begun

Years later, a stranger named Nathaniel Halloway arrived in the village of Barovia. Nathaniel was a noble from Mordent, displaced by the mysterious mists that permeate the lands of Mists. Gabriela and Dmitry extended their aid, helping him find shelter and quickly becoming close friends. Seeking to find a way to help Nathaniel return home, they found Vistani willing to take Nathaniel through the poisonous fog surrounding the village, a well-known and easy to secure solution for those with the wealth to pay their exorbitant fee. Financially wealthier than his new friends, Nathaniel offered to pay the Vistani to also take Dmitry and Gabriela with him, allowing them to finally fulfil Gabriela's dream of leaving the village she despised so much.

Nathaniel's presence acted as a catalyst, bringing hidden truths to light and attracting unwanted attention. His noble bearing and mysterious background intrigued the villagers and caught the eye of sinister forces. This set off a chain of events that would draw Gabriela, Dmitry, and Nathaniel into a web of intrigue and danger. In the end, Nathaniel’s arrival would end up leading them to leave the village of Barovia and begin both adventuring, as well as a search for answers about their mysterious pasts and potential destinies.

The Adventures

Before leaving Barovia, Gabriela sought Sister Anika’s counsel. The nun, aware of Gabriela's true heritage, directed her to a crypt where Gabriela discovered a spellbook that only she could read. This book, once belonging to her mother Yvonne, unlocked her latent magical abilities and set her on the path of wizardry. Anika revealed that Gabriela’s parents were killed by a former friend turned vampire enemy named Sorin, because they interfered with Sorin's dark ambitions towards Dmitry's mother. Sorin now believed the entire family dead as her mother’s last act was to protect her daughters, leaving Gabriela the spellbook as a legacy, which Anika hid until she felt the time was right for Gabriela to learn her true heritage.

The spellbook was a treasure trove of arcane knowledge, filled with spells and incantations that seemed to resonate with Gabriela on a profound level. As she studied its contents, she felt a surge of power and purpose. This newfound magical ability marked the beginning of her journey as a wizard, specifically in the school of evocation.

Their journey took them far from the familiar confines of Barovia. Along the way, they encountered Audrey-Louise Halloway, Nathaniel’s little sister, who had spent years searching for him and only now become able to locate him thanks to the costly services of Vistani seers - apparently the Mists displaced Nathaniel in time as well as location, which is why divination magic to locate Nathaniel until now had failed. Nathaniel was stunned to see his little sister now a young adult and an accomplished master of foxhounds. He had believed gone from home a mere few days, whilst in fact it had been nearly eight years from Audrey's perspective. Close to each others ages, and with similar fiery and stubborn personalities, it was no surprise to anyone that Audrey and Gabriela soon became close friends, with Audrey developing an unrequited secretly crush on Gabriela. Despite her feelings, Audrey remained a loyal and supportive companion.

They also met Marcus, a kind cleric of Ezra from Borca, who became a mentor and ally. This cleric, with his deep knowledge of the divine and the occult, provided invaluable guidance and support. His teachings helped Gabriela refine her magical abilities and broaden her understanding of the mystical forces at play in the land of Mists.

Mysteries of the Past

Their quest eventually led to the shocking discovery that Gabriela’s mother, Yvonne, was still alive. Although Anika had believed her dead after seemingly failing to save her with magical healing, Yvonne had somehow survived, although permanently blinded and scarred. Believing her children and husband were all dead at Sorin's hands, blind and scarred, Yvonne fell into depression and ended up living as a cryptkeeper in Vallaki. Tending for the dead in a sad way made Lavinia the Blind, as she was now known, feel a form of connection to the family she believed gone. The reunion brought her some solace, though the years of separation and hardship had taken their toll. Knowing her own adventuring days were long past, and that Gabriela was fated to finish the events that her generation had set in course, Lavinia gifted Gabriela her silver mage robes and imparted further magical knowledge to her daughter to best prepare her for what was to come.

Reuniting with her mother was a bittersweet experience for Gabriela. The joy of finding her mother alive was tempered by the realization of the suffering she had endured. Lavinia, now blind and frail, had spent years in solitude, mourning the loss of her family. The silver mage robes were a symbol of her mother’s legacy and a source of great pride for Gabriela. One she now wears with pride and respect.

In time, they also found and reconnected with her sister Sofya, who mostly now resides with and cares for their mother in the town of Vallaki. This reunion brought a sense of completeness to Gabriela, filling a void she had long felt but never fully understood. Sofya, though initially a stranger and somewhat arrogant and abrasive, eventually became a cherished part of Gabriela's life. They all kept their new names and identities, however, both as a practical acceptance of what they now were accustomed to being called, and as a symbolic reflection that the past was gone, and they were all now different people from the lost people they once were.

Dmitry's Tragic Past

Their journey also uncovered the tragic past of Dmitry. He was the son of Sashine, a beautiful human woman who loved an elf that adventured with them. Their companion, Sorin, also lusted after Sashine but his love was unrequited. It was at best an unpleasant situation within their adventuring group but, after Sorin became a vampire, his obsession with Sashine turned darker as he aligned himself with an evil cult and master that the group would come to oppose. Unable to win her love away from her husband, Sorin's obsession led to him violating Sashine and leaving her with child, who she named Brian. Although they hid out in a secluded mountain monastery for years, where Brian learnt the monastic arts, Sorin eventually found them and attacked. After the death of her husband fighting Sorin, with her son Brian hurt and terrified and to protect him from Sorin, Sashine sacrificed herself using the last of her magical ability to send Brian into the mists, where he appeared in the village of Barovia, losing his memories in the trauma, where he was saved by a young girl who shortly after named the lost child Dmitry.

The revelation of Dmitry’s true heritage was a painful and shocking discovery. The trauma of his mother’s death and his own near-fatal escape had left deep scars, both physical and emotional. He had always known he was different and not normal - stronger and faster than most, but now the truth of his origins - that he was a dhampyr, the child of a human and a vampire - added a new layer of complexity to his relationship with Gabriela and his own sense of identity.

The Amaranth

During their travels Gabriela, Marcus, Nathaniel, and Audrey came to the idyllic village of Leiksburg in Barovia, in the shadow of the mountains and bordering the former Gundarak border. In stark contrast to the rest of Barovia, Leiksburg was an idyllic village where children laughed and played in the streets and everyone was happy. This immediately made Gabriela suspicious, and began to investigate. She uncovered the reason for the village's prosperity was a believed-divine child known only as "the Amaranth" as she was always sighted in the nearby amaranth flower field, playing with a bag of red rubies. It was locally known that the child would grant her divine blessing to those who sought her out and grant miracles - curing cripples and healing any malady, blessings of prosperity, and so on.

Further investigation uncovered a dark secret - the village's Burgomaster and most of the leadership were secretly cultists that worshipped the Amaranth, that turned out to be some kind of demonic or devilish outsider. The "miracles" were in fact an elaborate con where the ignorant unknowingly sold their souls to the Amaranth in return for the "miracle", and their souls were captured in a red ruby created when the dark pact was made. Gabriela and her allies uncovered the truth and made it public, reporting it to the Barovian authorities and taking on the cult, which they dismantled. Although the Amaranth herself was far too powerful for the erstwhile heroes to defeat, their actions had made Leiksburg no longer the profitable and easy reaping ground she'd enjoyed so long, and so she congratulated the heroes on their victory, and left - taking with her all the souls owed her. In that instant, almost the entire adult population of Leiksburg died in an instant, leaving behind hundreds of orphans and mostly young adults.

Although their actions were noble and removed a threat from Barovia, and rescued famed General Stanislav from capture and enslavement by the cult, the heroes were left wondering about the rightness and cost of their heroism. In gratitude for her rescue, General Stanislav, also the Boyar for the region in which Leiksburg was located, made Nathaniel Halloway the new Burgomaster, and the heroes made Leiksburg their new home and began trying to help the village recover. Marcus took over the previous temple to the Morninglord and turned it into an orphanage and temple to Ezra, where the orphaned children would be cared for, fed, and educated in literacy and music. A grant from a grateful General Stanislav helped Marcus establish what would become his legacy.

Confronting Sorin and Lyssa

Their adventuring and uncovering of their past soon brought them into direct conflict with Sorin and his master's cult, led by Lyssa von Zarovich. The cult’s nefarious plans threatened not only their lives but the very fabric and power structure of Barovia. The battle against Sorin and Lyssa was a gruelling and harrowing experience. The cult’s power and influence were vast, and the danger they posed was immense.

Although the heroes ultimately triumphed, killing Sorin and ending the cult's plans, they lost some of their own in the process. Their halfling friends Dominique and Raoul were captured by Sorin and tortured just to torment and bait the heroes, Raoul turned into a vampire spawn and made to feed on his sister until the heroes rescued them, and Dominique was forced to lay her brother to rest by her own hand. In the battle to rescue their halfling friends, they faced Sorin directly. Although Gabriela and Dmitry were victorious and slew Sorin, Dmitry died protecting Gabriela. Tearfully, Dmitry was laid to rest by his love and the remaining heroes.

Shortly after, their cleric friend Marcus also fell against Lyssa von Zarovich's forces, but his sacrifice not only saved a young child named Elizabeta from a dark ritual, but thwarted her plans and enabled the heroes to bring an end to the cult with the help of Strahd's Spymaster, Sandrine, ironically the same vampire who nearly killed Dmitry were it not for Gabriela's intercession years ago, and troops sent by General Stanislav.

Current Affairs

Dmitry's Return

The shadows of their past now behind them, the heroes returned to Leiskburg where Nathaniel embraced his granted title of Burgomaster, and the properties granted to them by Strahd's Spymaster. Leiksburg became a sanctuary and a base of operations for Gabriela and her companions, a new home. The protection offered by Strahd’s spymaster provided a measure of safety for the group but it also came with its own set of challenges and intrigues. The town, while a refuge, was also a place where they had to navigate the complex and often dangerous politics of Barovia and the many supernatural threats that surrounded it.

However, due to his dhampyr heritage, Dmitry did not remain in his grave and arose from death as a full vampire soon after. His love for Gabriela was now twisted by undeath into a dark obsession, and he now sought to turn Gabriela into his undead bride so they could be together for eternity. Although she loved Dmitry and wanted to be with him, Gabriela was more determined to remain alive and not a creature of evil. The loss of Dmitry was a devastating blow to Gabriela, but his resurrection as a vampire added a sinister and tragic twist to their story.

Dmitry return, revelation of his new vampiric condition and seeking to coerce Gabriela to join him as his undead eternal bride did not go as Dmitry anticipated and they resisted. Prepared to kill anyone standing between him and his love, Dmitry would have followed his father's footsteps and killed all his former friends were it not for the interference of Strahd's vampiric Spymaster, Sandrine, who pointed out that she would protect the Halloways both as they were living descendants of hers, and they were Burgomasters of Barovia. And as Dmitry was now bound to Strahd's service, he could therefore not act against officials of Barovia unless they lost the protection by breaking Strahd's laws.

However, Gabriela was under no such protection as she had no formal title. In the desire to not endanger her friends, she fled from Dmitry's grasp with the help of one her friend Dominique, who was present mostly to say goodbye to her friends after having previously paid a transportation mage to transport her to Darkon, where she planned to seek out the famed Dirge Bards of Darkon. The situation dire, Dominique made the mage cast the spell in haste and grabbed Gabriella's hand, pulling her into the misty portal to the safety of Darkon, without Gabriela or Dominique able to give a proper goodbye to the rest of their friends but at least slipping through Dmitry's damned fingers, and removing the threat to their friends.

Seeking Knowledge and Arcane Power

Gabriela now travels seeking knowledge and arcane power, and her desire to pursue arcane secrets is relentless. She delves into ancient tomes, seeks out forgotten lore, and hones her skills as an evocation wizard. Her magical prowess grows with each adventure, and she remains steadfast in her commitment to fight for the light, even as she seeks to uncover the mysteries of the realm.

Her travels take her to various domains of the land of mists, each with its own unique dangers and secrets. From the haunted forests of Kartakass, to the oppressive cities of Falkovnia, Gabriela faces countless threats and uncovers hidden truths. Her encounters with other adventurers and heroes enrich her understanding of the world and strengthen her resolve to fight against the forces of darkness.

Personality

Gabriela in a ball gown made for her by Dominique Petite

Gabriela has a fiery personality that, depending on her opinion of you and where you stand on her moral compass, can make her a delight or highly abrasive. Having lived a hard life of poverty and scraping by with the bare minimum and stealing to prosper, constantly facing derision and adversity, she has become incredibly self-confident, stubborn, and defiant. She is not easily phased by insults (which typically annoy her more than actually hurt her), and will stand toe-to-toe with brutes thrice her size and stare them in the eye unflinchingly, simply responding to a threat with a confident and menacing "Try me!". In a place like her childhood home of the village of Barovia, her personality typically put her at ends with the majority of the populace, who saw her as a bad omen and a troublemaker.

But those people who have managed to get close to her somehow and earn her true friendship have found her to be a very caring and loyal friend. She may have grown tough due to a lack of love in her upbringing, but the desire to not be alone and be loved and belong is still there. Perhaps it is the communal spirit of her canjar bloodline, or her Forfarian heritage's togetherness in the face of shared adversity, but Gabriela truly desires to have friends and family, and a place to belong, though she will rarely admit this. As such, most people either love "Gabbi" and consider her a good friend, or absolutely despise "the arrogant mongrel witch". There is rarely an in-between.

She has a cunning mind honed through hardship and survival instinct. As a young girl and a wizard people expect a degree of serenity and inflexibility from her, but she is anything but. She thinks of things with a fox's cunning and has no qualms with playing dirty - why be honourable when people already consider you to be incapable of it and hate you just because of your ancestry? So she does and says what she feels right, what benefits her and her allies, and to hell with what anyone else thinks or how dishonourable this might be perceived.

But since discovering her magical heritage and potential, Gabriela's drive to uncover arcane mysteries, lore, and increase her own magical prowess has grown and now borders on obsession. Some point out that it has made her even more overconfident and cocky, and that this is going to lead to a bad ending someday. To this, she just shrugs and says "but at least it'll be spectacular!"

Other Notes

The Ever-Present Conundrum of Dmitry

Throughout her journey, Gabriela must constantly stay one step ahead of Dmitry’s relentless pursuit. His love for her has turned into a dark and twisted obsession. As a full vampire, he possesses immense power and influence, making him a formidable adversary. Gabriela’s determination to remain free and alive drives her to continue her quest, always vigilant and ready to face the dangers that roam the land.

As long as she remains outside Barovia, Dmitry is unable to pursue as he is now bound in service to Count Strahd of Barovia, and unable to travel boyond the Domain's borders without his permission. In practice, this gives Gabriela a certain degree of safety and freedom, as long as she remains outside Barovia. Unfortunately, all her friends and recently re-united family are in Barovia, and despite the thrill of adventure, discovery of knowledge and arcane secrets, and the interesting people she is meeting on the way - her heart longs to return and see them. But she knows that when she does, she will almost certainly have to face the dark reckoning with Dmitry that she wishes to avoid. Gabriela fears in his obsession to make her his, he may harm her friends and family in the process, in a twisted fate-repetition of the events around Dmitry's father that led to the deaths of his own mother, Gabriella's father, and broke up her family and harmed so many of their friends for so long.

The sad part is that even if she had the power to defeat him directly, Dmitry has been her true love, and her love for him is not so easy to ignore, move on and put behind her, or act against. Fighting him would be emotionally difficult for her, and she is insure if she would be able to destroy him and fears she would hesitate at a key moment, leading to tragedy for herself or others caught in the crossfire. And thus Gabriela and Dmitry are stuck in an eternal dark waltz of obsessive whirls.

Combat Style

Gabriela in the leather armour she wore during her travels

Gabriela is an Evoker, a specialist in offensive magic. Anyone who expects this slip of a girl to run and hide and fight defensively is in for a nasty shock. Her heroic friends would often refer to her as the "heavy artillery" of the troupe. She runs and avoids damage only as a practical means to not die, and so her spellcasting is not disrupted, but Gabriela typically prefers to use offensive magic to eliminate threats. With a wide range of fire, electricity, and other elemental spells at her command, and a magical amulet that lets her convert the type of energy of spells she knows to a different type as needed a limited amount of times a day, she typically tends to take a moment studying whatever creature or foe they face, decide what works best against it, and then obliterate it with magical might.

She is smart enough to know that a red-haired girl destroying a vampire with a fireball in Barovia is more likely to end up getting chased by an angry mob screaming "burn the witch!" than get gratitude, so she typically has to bite her lip and use more subtle magic in situations where she feels use of blatant magic may cause her trouble. In these cases, she prefers to use magic that empowers herself or her allies, such as enhancing magic weapons, or without blatant magical effects traceable to her. She find it frustrating to have to do this, however.

With her bombastic magical abilities, it is easy to forget that for most of her life Gabriela was a thief, and the instincts are still there. She can be sneakier than might be expected for a wizard, and is quite accomplished at sneakily striking foes with precision attacks when their guard is down or they cannot properly defend themselves. In her pre-magic days, this usually meant flanking or sneaking up to a foe and stabbing them with her blade, but these days that could mean doing this with Ruadh or her crossbow, likely with magical enhancement, or creating an opening to lower a target's defence/flank them and then use a direct magical attack to harm the target. Even without her magic, Gabriela is a respectable swordswoman that uses her agility to good effect with finesse weapons such as her signature weapon Ruadh.

Social Style

Gabriela is defiant and stubborn, but not unnecessarily so. She is a pragmatist at heart, but she's grown up used to having to take by force anything she wants/needs because others would usually deny her it, even if there was no justifiable reason or inconvenience, just because of her heritage. As such she acts and does what's best for her, her friends, and the greater good, and typically cares little about how others may take offence to her doing what she feels is the right thing, beyond any practical inconvenience or problems those actions might bring on herself or her friends. She will steal a loaf of bread if hungry (or to feed a hungry street orphan) from a wealthy seller, but she wouldn't do it for no reason if doing would would get her and her companions in trouble.

So used to adversity and mistrust, it's no surprise that Gabriela can be slow to gain the trust of, but appreciates it when received. She will be slow to trust and often wonder what angle or con the other person is playing. The old adage "actions speak louder than words" holds very true for her. Someone can tell her how good and noble they are and their respectable intentions for hours, and she won't believe a word. But someone who steals that loaf of bread to give to a hungry street orphan, will gain her respect much faster as they have shown the willingness to do the right thing, even at risk. Actions that prove intent and morality matter more than declarations and promises of such.

When people show respect to her, she reciprocates and can be surprisingly amiable. Those who show respect and show good character may eventually become friends. Whilst Gabriela is still likely to get regularly angry at them, shout, tease them, and make derisive jabs when they do things she disapproves of, there is no malice in her tone and she soon calms down and moves past it. Her temper is as explosive as her magic - it flames bright and hot, but dissipates quickly once things are over. And to those she likes, her fire is warm and nurturing. Most of the time.

Signature Equipment

Armour & Weapons

  • Ruadh: This masterwork reddish-steel short sword was created specifically for Gabriela by Dmitry during the height of their love for each other, made from rare fire-forged steel that can absorb heat it is exposed to in order to inflict additional burn damage. Since then, and to protect herself against her former love, Gabriela has magically enchanted the sword to have a keen edge and can be sheathed in flame with a command word. The name is pronounced "Red" and is the Forfarian word for red, intended as a practical name and simple nod to her Forfarian heritage, as well as a subtle joke against the practice of naming magic swords and items that Gabriela finds somewhat amusing.
  • Silver Dagger: A mastercraft dagger with alchemically-bonded silver. Mostly kept for protection against vampires and werewolves.
  • Light Crossbow: A mastercraft light crossbow that Gabriela has had since her early adventuring days. She typically uses magic to temporarilly enhance it when she employs its use in combat.

Magic Items

  • White robes of the Archmagi: A legacy gift from her mother, this elegant white robe is magically enhanced to be as protective as chainmail armour, and grants additional bonuses to Gabriela's saving throws and a measure of resistance against spells and effects of others.
  • Amulet of Conflicting Energies: This pendant is white on one side and black on the other. Up to three times per day, the wearer can change the energy damage of a fire spell she casts to cold, a cold spell to fire, an acid spell to electricity, or an electricity spell to acid.
  • Campfire bead: This small bead, when tossed onto the ground and activated with a command word, turns into pile of burning logs that burns 8 hours before returning to the form of a bead and requiring twice as long to recharge as the duration for which it was used, before being usable again.

Mundane Items

  • Two leather spellbooks with vellum pages and slipcase
  • Spell component pouch

Signature Quotes

  • "Try me!"
