Appearance

Considering Lilith is quite petite and slim build, she is eye catching beyond her build. Naturally auburn-haired and hazel-eyed, her hair is almost always dyed in some way appropriate to her goth lifestyle - either jet black, henna red, green, or highlights or combinations of some, or all, of them. Other combinations are not unheard of when the mood strikes her. But a blood red hair colour, or black with blood red highlights are her most common, with her natural auburn with some highlights more common during quieter or introspective moments. Lilith has developed the ability to prevent her body returning to its Tabula Rasa form, and takes advantage of this to play around with styles for periods at a time, as she found having to dye her hair nightly, or lose tattoos the next evening frustrating. She has a permanent tattoo on her navel from before the Embrace, but a new one is seen occasionally, which she explains away as "temporary tattoos" if she decides to restore herself.

Her make-up and clothing on any given day is lighter than those who know she's a goth might expect - a notable preference for black and red, for sure, but she is as likely to be sported wearing camo pants or a Batgirl t-shirt as she is a black dress and torn fishnet stockings, and lip gloss and light eye make-up as likely as dark red or black lips and bright red or black eye make-up. It's when she's going somewhere social (such as her club during nights when there are events or she plans to do a show or scene) that she will make the effort to look particularly heavier goth, favouring black dresses or outfits that tend to show a lot of flesh in key areas to maximise her sex appeal and look imposing. But it is rare to see her in "extreme goth" look, and she typically thinks those who do that are often going a little OTT (but hey, to each their own). As she is fond of goth/death metal and BDSM, it is common to see her wearing clothing and accessories that emphasize this, even when casual. She may wear a relatively "normal" outfit that a typical girl her (apparent) age may wear, along with inverted pentagram necklace and skull rings, or a spiked dog collar.

Background

Lilan was born "trailer trash" to a single mother but refused to let that define her - she quickly learnt that people would always look down on her because of her background - so she adapted quickly, grew thick-skinned and decided to hell with everyone. She decided to embrace being different, to not be restrained by the social morals and opinions of those who thought themselves better than her but really were just vain, silly little sheep, and be proud of being different. She'd gotten into goth culture by the time she was a teen and also realised that she was as attracted to girls as guys, which seemed scandalous to the popular girls but made her more enticing for the guys, and she took advantage of that. The more people bitched about her, the more it just motivated her to go one step more "deviant." She wasn't simply a rebel for its own sake (well, maybe there was more truth in that than she'd care to admit) but simply wanted to enjoy her life on her own terms. Her only true friends were other goths and she actually got along well with the geek squad too - they could be pretty cool, and many of them loved music as much as she did. But the popular kids - the girls were a source of irritation, whilst the boys were entertaining fuckboys. Lilan never started the fights but the popular girls seemed to be unable to leave her be, and have to force the strange, defiant kids to cower before them - but Lilan wouldn't bow or break no matter how much the reigning clique tried in vain to insult, upset or embarrass her (hard as Lilan lost her sense of shame a long time ago). This continued until the clique as a group got physical and tried to push and slap her into submission, only for the colour to quickly drain from their collective faces as tears fell when Lilan pressed a knife against the queen's throat and spat in her face. Sure, she got expelled for it, but it wasn't like Lilan was ever going be able to go on to college anyhow with unremarkable grades and her white trash junkie mother barely providing for their basic needs. So, totally worth it.

Still, Lilan was smart enough to know how to use what she had and her looks and raw sexuality let her get by. Sure, bartending in dive restaurants wasn't the most exciting thing, but her too-skimpy shorts always got her good tips. She'd been on-off dating the guy that sold her weed since before getting expelled and this progressed to them getting serious and moving in together.

He convinced her to film their sexual escapades and sell the videos online, along with her doing adult webcam shows - which she did under the identity of "Lilith" to some degree of fame and success, and a nice bit of income which they tended to blow on drugs and shit. Things were good for a few years but his requests got steadily darker and more aggressive - which Lilith didn't mind at first as she wasn't exactly a nun and would try anything once, the kinkier the better - eventually she realised there was something seriously wrong with him... In hindsight, she really should have realised earlier - they had been fucking since she was just 15 and he was several years older than her... but she never really thought of him as a paedophile and she his victim, as she'd always felt like the one in charge of the relationship. But he grew more paranoid and posessive as she became more popular. He would dislike the attention she got from her fans and how she would flirt with them and want to be involved in her streams - and disliked the fact that her fans just weren't keen on him, preferring to see her solo, with toys or other girls than "her limp-dick" boyfriend, but she tried to do what he wanted. He'd demand kinkier shit such as her fucking others in front of him, then get angry and jealous when she did what he asked, or get angry if she didn't do it in the attempt to avoid his jealousy. Eventually, she realised the relationship had become too toxic and she tried to break it off - and he nearly beat her to death for it - but she scratched and clawed, and managed to get free and fled. Lilan drowned her sorrows at a local goth bar she frequented where she was approached by a goth friend, in actuality a Brujah. Lilith was lured to the bathroom with the promise of the most mind-blowing and intense sexual experience ever, which turned out to be true as Lilan experienced the Dark Kiss and was Embraced. When Lilan finally returned home, her boyfriend went ballistic on her and began beating her - but this caused Lilith to enter her first frenzy. She stabbed him several times with her knife, then sank her fangs into him and drained him completely of his blood as his punctured lungs fought for every dying breath.

After this, she decided to permanently keep the name Lilith and she and her sire left Dayton, dumping her boyfriend's corpse in the Great Miami River as they left and headed to Ashford, where Lilith's sire had a friend she knew would help them get settled. They started the "Club Heresy" goth club together around 2009, an association/society of goths and similar interest that would meet monthly in a hired bar/lounge location. Although this entertained their lifestyles and interests, it was predominantly a way to secure a herd and connections. The bar/lounge they would hire out was a little decrepid, however, due to business having been ailing for years (thought his was what appealed to them) and as Club Heresy built up popularity, Lilith and Lakisha managed to accumulate enough capital to make an offer on the bar/lounge building, which they then renovated and re-opened formally as Club Heresy nightclub in 2011, trading under the formal registered name of Heresy Entertainment.

After that, Lilith and her sire were happy together as lovers, friends and business partners until Prince Kratus did a crackdown of the local Anarchs and her sire was executed by the Sheriff on the accusation of being an Anarch who had acted against the establishment, which Lilith says was a crock of shit - trumped-up charges by some Toreador asshat who didn't like their club stepping on their toes, and the assholes in charge using it as an excuse to get rid of someone that refused to bend the knee, but otherwise did not harm (simply being an Anarch was not an executable offence under the agreement of the Convention of Thorns that the Camarilla had to uphold, but Anarchs in Ashford were frequently found "guilty" of actions against the state, which would justify them - and Lilith is convinced Lakisha was such a case). The result was that it drove Lilith into actually becoming an Anarch and collaborating with Lilah Fox who operated as an Anarch Coyote, helping smuggle Anarchs into Ashford under the Sheriff and Scourge's radars, or secrete those Anarchs (or believed Anarchs) in danger out of Ashford before the Sheriff/Scourge could locate them. Whilst most remember the 2016 Sabbat Crusade as a tragic event, Lilith celebrates it as the day the Prince, Sheriff and Scourge got what they deserved (and a few others that deserved it, but her hatred and gratification were mostly for those three) - and left the Anarchs too powerful a faction to keep subservient and oppressed with fake charges any longer. She knows she's too young to be any serious threat to the remaining establishment, but she does what she wants and to hell with what the Camarilla blowhards think. Lilith is used to having always been the unpopular one raging against the system. That's not going to change, no matter who's in charge or what they try to do to her.

Mortal Society

Lilith is renown as a goth chick that came to fame by creating and running a website containing hardcore pictures and videos of her sexual escapades with her then-boyfriend, although she no longer maintains this. These days she capitulates on her online fame by dabbling in various other projects - art was one of the things she considered as a career, way back before being kicked out of high school and she now paints for fun, selling prints online. She has a gothic cartoon strip "Vicious" about a sensual and deadly Succubus, who's resemblance is modelled on Lilith's, which has proven somewhat popular with both the goth/alternative and geek crowds, although she is locally best known as a guitarist and supporting vocalist for the gothic metal band "Dark Monarchy" which performs regularly at Club Heresy.

Club Heresy

Club Heresy is renown as being Ashford's only "goth club" - although that isn't quite accurate. Club Heresy isn't purely a goth club - although if it were up to Lilith, it would be - as Lilith has enough business sense to realise that there simply aren't enough active goths in Ashford to keep a pure-goth club afloat, even though, with the next closest goth clubs being in Los Angeles and San Diego, Club Heresy gets a lot of visiting goths from around the area. Ultimately, the club is a horror-esque themed nightclub with decorations and theming pulling from various occult, supernatural and horror tropes covering everything from Satanic depictions to Lovecraftian iconography. Rather than be a place intended to creep out "normies" it is intended as a place where everyone is equal and welcome, promoting a "be yourself, express yourself freely" attitude towards all, especially LGBTQ+, Goth, Emo and Alternative lifestyles. On any given night goths can be seen mixing with drag queens along with "normal" people, who are perfectly welcome too, as long as they don't try to cause shit. Whilst the members can get a little hot-headed at times, they're generally well-behaved and accomodating to newcomers and outsiders. The biggest problems are usually caused by the religious nuts, homophobes and similar "anyone not a white, heterosexual, cisgendered, God-fearing sheep is going to hell" crowd, who turn up [more regularly than Lilith would like] to stir up shit - but the ensuing beating she usually gives the hothead in charge at least serves as amusement (the sight of a 5.4" 99lb girl take down a 6'" redneck is always entertaining to her customers) so at least there's an upside.

Draven, Lilith's ghoul and official manager of Club Heresy

The club trades under the name "Heresy Entertainment" and is legally owned by Lilith under her real name of Lilan Wilson for official purposes, but few amongst the kine, outside of the staff, know Lilith actually owns the club. Most just take her as a regular, a performer, and a good friend (possibly lover) of the manager, "Draven" - but not the owner. This is deliberate as Lilith is smart enough to know its best to have Draven, in actuality her ghoul, be the public face of the business, rather than a girl who looks barely old enough to even be in there - and doesn't seem to age. She knows at some point she will have to worry about any officious agents (she despises the IRS and their audits) and her lack of ageing - but figures she has about a decade before that really becomes an issue, and she'll figure something out by then. She's figured out that some clans have ways of masking their appearances - such as the Malkavians/Nosferatu with their Obfuscate, or Clan Senya with their Apparitionem, and is hoping to be able to make some kind of deal with them to get their help, or learn their power. As she has been making good relations with some Malkavians, one of who is an elder, this looks like a strong possibility.

The club has DJs or live bands on Fridays and Saturdays, which alternate between industrial and metal music (goth, death or black metal being most common, though the band Chop Styx, a Symphonic Power Metal band with traditional Chinese folk influences, are very popular and a regular Saturday attraction). Hard rock is typically about as "light" as music gets as a genre, although even within metal there are a few occasional balads - often towards the end of a group's performance (everyone likes a slow dance to get romantic on the dance floor) or the evening, to help wind things down. The club also sometimes hosts other events and shows, such as their popular Thursday Drag night. Many of these events are not actually held by the club itself, rather the club is used as a hosting venue by different clubs and societies, typically holding monthly events pre-planned for members. Indeed, the Club Heresy itself originally began as such a club, hosting monthly goth metal events at Ashford nightclubs, until Lakisha and Lilith raised the capital to purchase an ailing bar and refurbish it into its current form.

The club has a special members-only area known as "Purgatory" aimed at BDSM enthusiasts which hosts regular erotic shows run by Lilith or experienced BDSM performers/act, but almost as often is an unplanned and impromptu show by horny exhibitionist patrons, and has a whole range of sex and BDSM fetishism items and bondage equipment for use. Although the shows are erotic in nature, commonly displaying blatant nudity, they stop short of being deliberately sexual. Nonetheless, occasionally things get a little "carried away" but legal issues regarding public indecency or accusations of pornography/prostitution are circumvented by this being a members-only club area, and so not open to the public. In practice, non-members can get into the section, if accompanied by a vouching member.

As Club Heresy is modelled as a "lifestyle venue" it allows in people under 21, although they must show identification proving they are over 18 and are given an entry stamp different to those identified over 21. This allows them access to most facilities, except the ability to purchase alcohol. During the daytime, under Draven's direction, the club is open as a form of social clubhouse for goths/emo and alternative teens, as well as providing basic catering services from their limited kitchen facilities.

Personality

People (especially Ventrue and Toreadors) think Lilith is a "rebel without a cause" (so cliché!) with a chip against society, especially the Camarilla. But she's not (ok she has a grudge against the Camarilla for causing, supporting or allowing Lakisha's murder, but that doesn't mean she's trying to knock down the Ivory Tower) - she just believes everyone (kindred or kine) should be able to do whatever they want, without their respective mainstream society judging them for it or enforcing their rules and limits on them. She wouldn't let anyone tell her what to do when she was alive, and she sure as hell isn't gonna let them do it now. No one holds command over her. No man. No God. No Prince. If fighting for her right to live as she chooses means she's an Anarch - then so be it. She didn't want to be an Anarch. She just wanted to enjoy her unlife by Lakisha's side - but the Camarilla took that from her, and expect her to be happy that they spared her! So, Anarch it is. Better to die unbowed on her own terms than immortality of subservience. If others respect her life choices, then she respects them back - even if she might personally disagree with them or think them too vanilla for her tastes. It really is that simple. Those who know her say Lilith is actually a really nice person and a solid friend, if only people make the effort to look past her goth exterior, strange tastes, and get to know herm instead of being judgemental.

Whilst Lilith has done well for herself considering her youth as a Kindred, she is a social animal and, since Lakisha's death, has not really had any kindred friends. Sure, the Brujah and Anarchs respect her, as well as a few others, but she hasn't really had a peer or social group since her mortal days hanging with her goth friends. Although the Brujah are known to mingle with humans more than any other clan (perhaps even more than the Toreador, as the Brujah mingle for the passion for life that humans bring, which connects them to their own humanity; rather than use and feed off their passion as the Toreador tend to do, which subtly reinforces how disconnected they are) - but it's not the same. A Brujah losing their temper around other kindred is likely to lead to a scrap that will hurt both (especially a non-Brujah) but be essentially harmless (if painful or humiliating) - but the same occurring around kine, or even ghouls, will likely end with an accidental Masquerade breach. But of late, the circumstances have changed as she has finally made two true friends with common interests (though Lilith will admit to being the most deviant) all of who met via Club Heresy in some way. They have formed a coterie that they call Metalheads as all of them have in common a love for Metal music. The other coterie members are:

Tifa Sing -

Tifa is a Chinese-American native Ashfordian who is the singer of the Symphonic Power Metal band Chop Styx. A fellow Brujah, Lilith has always looked up to Tifa's sire as an inspiration/role model (she won't let anyone tell her what to do, and she's survived that way for centuries; even if her interests are pretty tame) and worked with her during the twilight years of Kratus' reign, helping to smuggle Anarchs in and out of Ashford. It was through these activiies that Lilith met Tifa. Although Tifa is not a goth, she does love metal music and had started a band of her own, and Lilith invited her to both visit, as well as play at her club. And just like the famous line from Cassablanca, that was the start of a beautiful friendship. Tifa's band are regular performers at Club Heresy, and she would hang there even when not performing. Unfortunately the Sabbat Crusade left Tifa unexpectedly inheriting her family's historical Dragon House restaurant and cocktail lounge, something that was never expected to happen as her elder brother was to inherit after her father's death - but the Sabbat took them both. As such, Tifa's commitments have been tied to the business of late, so they don't get together as often as Lilith would like - but this not only gives them another commonality (Brujah, metal performers, and business owners) but also increases the benefit of working together to protect their mutual interests.

Abi is a Malkavian, but had been known to Lilith (and to a lesser degree, Tifa) for a few years even when she was still kine. Like Lilith, Abi came from a working class background (although Lilith will point out that her mother was a White Trash Junkie, whilst Abie at least had a supportive father) and was a goth and outed bisexual since her early teens, and often bullied and ostracised at school for it. Except whilst Lilith's reaction to this treatment was to become defiant and tough, Abi was driven to mental illness and eating disorders. Abi eventually found friends and stability online via TikTok, but had few friends in Ashford offline - and Lilith and many of the regulars of Club Heresy's daytime teen crowd were amongst those few, and most loyal. But as the teen club was mostly duringt he daytime, Lilith would only be able to meet Abi on occasion after sundown, during that short period between the teen and the adult segments. However once Abi turned 18, she became a regular at nights, and the two became friends. Lilith had even considered Abi as an Embrace potential, but knew she would never get permission and, although she liked the girl, didn't think she had the strength of personality to survive as a Brujah. But then a few weeks later the Sabbat Crusade happened - and a malkavian who defected to the Sabbat decided to use his "new found freedom from Camarilla rules" to entertain himself, using Abi's apparently-randomly-selected family as target practice for his gun fetish, and he embraced and abandoned Abi. Well, he probably abandoned her - he was gone when she awoke, and was killed shortly after, so it's assumed he left her that way as part of the Sabbat random-embraces-to-fuck-up-the-Masquerade tactics. Alone, lost and confused, it wasn't long before Lilith found out what happened and became a mentor of sorts to her, at least teaching her how to hunt and looking out for her as well as grouping the three together as a coterie for mutual support.

Combat Style

Lilith doesn't actively look for trouble - but she wasn't the type to back away from it even when she was mortal. She'd always been skinny, though quick, and relied on her natural quickness and dirty fighting to defend herself - as well as use of knives. Now she's a Brujah, she's supernaturally faster and stronger - and she likes to use this to her advantage for the element of surprise against the kine. She entered unlife having been in a few fights, and knowing which end of a knife to stick into people (the pointy end), but in her time as undead has been more involved in fights - especially in Brujah "Bashes" (aka "Fight Club") which she finds great fun and a way to blow off steam and learn to defend herself. But after the Sabbat Crusade she met a Malkavian elder called Maxim, a Japanese Martial Arts master who's dojo was damaged in an attack, and Lilith gave him a temp job as a bouncer, which has ended up becoming seemingly permanent as Maxim seems to enjoy it.

Things naturally led to Maxim teaching Lilith some Taijutsu (predominantly Aikido, which he feels is better suited for her small frame, with some Karate) and, especially, the ancient art of Tantojutsu (a knife-fighting style learnt by female samurai, as was Taijutsu, which she thinks is cool) - which has over the last few years, especially practicing/sparring with her coterie mate Tifa, who is a Kung Fu adept (and Lilith will admit, a much better ass-kicker), has propelled Lilith's ability to fight with knives to a military-level proficiency. Lilith always takes her knife with her anywhere she goes, She typically also takes her Kimber pistol whenever she carries a handbag or jacket to conceal it with - she's not really bothered about legality as she can usually seduce her way out of any hassle (Presence helps). She's a reasonable shot, having practiced shooting for fun at gun ranges, and a lot of paintballing in her mortal years, but lacks proper gun combat experience.

In a brawl where she doesn't want to seriously hurt her opponent, she will rely on her Taijutsu skills (and dirty fighting) but, when it gets more serious, her knife comes out. Only when fighting with deadly opponents does she use her wild card - the Burning Wrath combination discipline, which allows her to inflict aggravated damage with her fists. And, even then, she will typically still use her knife and tantojutsu techniques (of blocking longer weapons) to parry melee attacks for her devastating brawl counterattack. Overall, she has a lot of raw power for someone so young, but lacks combat experience and tends to be raw fury and dirty tactics. She could be a good backup, or good muscle if directed by someone with more experience. When combined with her coterie-mate Tifa, the two can be a very deadly and easily underestimated combination.

Social Style

Lilith embraced that she was different to most people back when she was kine, and is unrepentant and unashamed about who she is or her interests. If other people don't like it, that's their problem. It's their prerogative not to like her or her tastes, but not to give her shit about it. The ruling cliques gave her grief when she was kine, and the ruling clique took away from her the only woman she's truly loved unconditionally. So it's fair to say she has a deep distrust and dislike for authority figures, and a deviant personality. She demands respect - and if that is given, everything else falls into place. Because she's only been kindred a little over a decade, most kindred naturally look down on her - often a painful mistake as she has become very self-capable and stronger than she looks in a short time. Adversity, she points out, either breaks you or makes you stronger - and so far she has been hurt, bruised and battered - but never broken.

She respects strength of character, and those with self-respect and confidence will appeal to her, especially if they either have or respect deviant personalities. Those doing it to attempt to influence or simply fit in, are more likely to get her derision as being sheep. She's not keen on conformists and connivers. She would rather someone turn up to her club wearing a fashionable dress and friendly and respectful attitude, than someone obviously dressing as a goth just to impress her and looking out of place and uncomfortable. The first she may think a little boring, but respect the honesty and self-identity - the latter she will think is a conformist or attempting to manipulate her, both bad things in her books. In her eyes, there is a difference between those who conform out of fear or habit, and those who do it as a way to be part of the popular crowd. As a case in point, she has become good friends with Tifa and their main interest is in metal music, but Tifa finds Lilith's "goth-ness" and BDSM interests a little extreme for her liking (though respects her) and dresses more like a rocker, which to Lilith is a little vanilla. But Lilith will admit the style suits her, and she enjoys watching Tifa's Canton Nights shows of Cantonese culture - which is the last place one would expect to find a goth, death metal fran. All cultures are different, and different is good, if embraced. Liking one, does not excluse respecting and even liking aspects of another.

Disrespecting her, her friends/coterie mates, or her subculture (or any culture) will quickly gain her animosity. Provoking her is likely to end up with her quickly turning physically violent - but then that could be said about most Brujah. Being friendly, respectful and willing to indulge in your passions without regard for how the social mob may react to it, will earn her respect.
