Background
Valentina knew nothing about her parents. She was raised in an orphanage run by a well-meaning elderly catholic woman and so naturally became quite a devout catholic herself and used to working hard from an early age. In her late teens She began taking samba and capoeira workshops at the local Bahiadance. Finding herself naturally gifted in the arts and loving dance, she worked hard to train to be a professional dancer and financed it making a respectable living modelling until her mother approached her on her 20th birthday and revealed the truth of her heritage. To be a devout catholic and then discover that your mother was a blood-goddess of a foreign faith you believed mythical and pretty close to devil-worshiping... well... it was a shock to the system... and to say Valentina didn't take it well would be an understatement.
Valentina has spent the last decade since randomly wandering around (as people tend to ask questions when they realise after a few years that she doesn't seem to age), unsure of what to do or be. Whilst she once wanted to be a professional dancer she now doesn't know what God's role for her is... or if He even exists. She only knows what she DOESN'T want to be... To pay the bills she works as a freelance plumber, occasionally accepting a modelling job or using her using her divine gifts, especially her Epic Appearance and ability to alter her form to acquire funds somehow.
Whilst she has so far been doing a good job of staying out of the Overworld War and the machinations of Fate (or at least, failing to live up to Fate's desires for her and denying responsibility of the consequences), Fate seems to be gradually dragging her kicking and screaming into its plans.
Birthrights
- Golden Choker: Valentina wears an expensive-looking golden neck choker resembling two impossibly-coiled snakes around her throat, with the heads resting on her chest. The snakes' eyes are made of rubies and their teeth are incredibly sharp - she has been witnessed piercing her own flesh with the teeth in order to bleed for her boons and birthrights usage.
- Braided Hair Whip: Valentina has been seen fighting using what appears to be an Arabic-style BDSM sex whip, made out of tightly-braided hair. The whip can extend itself in combat, striking targets far further than normal whips (observed 20 yds to date). When Valentina coats the whip with some of her blood, it turns blood-red and obsidian shards appear along its length, making the weapon extremely sharp and inflicting Lethal damage to opponents.
- Ahuianime Jacket: Valentina has a stylish light brown leather jacket made from the skins of Ahuianime slaves. It provides some modest protection, and allows her to summon up to 5 Ahuianime pleasure girls to serve her.
