			The patient resides with Kevin Kohlver, her ghoul and registered foster parent. Although there is no actual evidence to legally implicate him in mortal society, use of Disciplines and the patient's blood bond over him have revealed that he is an active paedophile. The patient uses this, combined with her being stuck in the body of a child, to feed his depraved desires and simultaneously emotionally punish him, whilst keeping him loyal. She uses him as a connection with the mortal world - not the least of which is transportation (the patient cannot drive) and financial resources, as well as a mortal adult to use as a legal guardian if required due to complications caused by her child form in mortal society.

	Maxim now suffers from a form of Aphasia known as Anomic Aphasia, which is a (fairly random) ~~in ability~~ to remember nouns and verbs - more predominantly nouns than verbs, in Maxim's case, though occasionally verbs too. Although his thoughts are clear, the words just don't make it from his mind to his tongue when he needs them - especially when under stress or needing to describe things. Therefore instead of saying "the Sabbat went up the fire escape ladder" he would typically say something like "the one we are chasing went up the metal thing with the rungs." This does not affect or impair his ability to read or understand in any way, but can sometimes make conversing with him tricky, especially in emergencies. It affects his ability to be creative and descriptive. At times, when it matters, his inability to form the words in his mind can become extremely frustrating and, especially if he sees it is also frustrating those he is conversing with, can frustrate him to the point of frenzy. The best tactic is to simply be patient and understanding, and help him with his linguistic difficulties. Otherwise, Maxim is a "gentle giant" who is extremely protective of our clan members - especially the neonates. He is actually the person who taught Kelsar and Linda Taggart karate (and using swords and other weapons along with it) even before the Embrace in Kelsar's case.
