	Papa Midnite's origins are unknown prior to his arrival and setting up as a mob boss in Los Angeles, trafficking in sex slaves and drugs. He runs an underground club called "Midnite" which is neutral ground for Scions (indeed, only scions, titanspawn or other magical beings can enter) that caters to their every whim. Most "good" scions find the place distasteful, but it is a good place to find information, contacts or so forth. Whilst Papa Midnite doesn't really particularly care for the individual beliefs of scions (he sees good and evil as two parts of cosmic harmony), his club is neutral ground mostly in the sense that he will not tolerate any violence on the premises, and shows no particular bias to either good or evil scions. He has a reputation for being cold and vengeful, but true to his word - although keen on getting "the better end of the deal." He is the protector of "The Chair" - an old, wooden electric chair from the Sing Sing Prison in New York, which electrocuted to death over 300 inmates. The chair is a powerful artifact that serves as a Passageway to any underworld realm. He does not consider himself its owner (it has no birthright connection to any known scion) but its protector - he knows that doors swing both ways, and that the chair could be used by Titanspawn to free their masters as easily as it is used by Scions to enter the underworld.
