They both support the Camarilla as an establishment and consider the anarch movement to be a loyal opposition that, done properly, can strengthen the domain. Gideon is a firm believer that had Kratus not been so authoritarian and dismissive of the anarchs and their ''rabble clan'' supporters (which included many disgruntled Nosferatu and Malkavians as members or supporters) the attack would likely not have occurred - or not to the damaging scale it did. So good, in fact, that Gideon has had to "convince" him not to leave the Scoop a few times when bigger news outlets have attempted to recruit him. But, ultimately, Raymond is a valuable asset as long as he is producing - and Gideon will quickly dump him if he outlives his usefulness, or he begins to suspect Gideon or Renee do not seem to age. Fortunately, Raymond has only been the editor-in-chief for a handful of years, and this should not be a decision Gideon needs to rush into.

Still, he sympathises with some of the modern KKK's attitudes, especially regards the preservation of the white race and the right for white people to be proud without fear; though rarely to a point of being militant and certainly not actively acting against coloured people unless it suits his needs in some other field. But the connection to the KKK and its members was helpful to him during his mortal days, providing connections and allies of like-minded people, even a small military force (ie violent KKK members) at times, and this is something he has kept connections with because it suits him to do so.
